Rihanna, Youth Ambassador to Barbados

Just after celebrating her b-day, and having the day after named National Rihanna Day, this bobble headed beauty has been named the Youth Ambassador of Barbados.
At a tribute concert in her honor the Bajan Prime Minister, David Thomson, awarded Ri-Ri with the title. He said that because of all her recent achievements she’s being formally recognized as a source of inspiration and a positive role model for her home country of Barbados. In addition to the title she was also rewarded with a Land Rover and a diamond bracelet from some of the sponsors of the event. Rihanna’s reaction?
“I really don’t know what to say,” Rihanna said upon hearing the news. “I am so grateful and I have never been more proud to be Bajan.”(Source)
Ha! When does she ever know what to say?! She’s never impressed me as the most eloquent or learned speaker ever. But hey, I can’t knock the hussle. For whatever reason folks seem to like her. And if she can make it rain on ‘em in her homeland then why not? I say she starts by donating that car and them diamonds to support some of her fellow countrymen.
