Ellen and Portia Wed!

Comedian Ellen DeGeneres married her girlfriend of four years, actress Portia de Rossi, this past Saturday (August 16, 2008) in Beverly Hills, CA.
Back in may after California’s Supreme Court ruled that same sex couples have the right to marry, Ellen announced on her show that she and Portia were getting married. “It’s something that we’ve wanted to do and we want it to be legal and we are very, very excited.” The small ceremony was attended by only 19 guests including mothers of the brides, Ellen’s mom Betty and de Rossi’s mom Margaret Rogers. "Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were married tonight in an intimate ceremony at their home in Los Angeles," their spokesperson tells PEOPLE exclusively on Saturday.
