Ebony magazine garnered the rfirst interview with President-elect, Barack Obama. The cover story about Barack appears in Ebony’s January 2009 collector’s edition.
“We won because the American people mobilized for change. We had a great campaign, great volunteers, great staff. But it really was people at a grassroots level who carried our campaign financially, who carried it organizationally, and we don’t want that to dissipate,” Obama said. It’ll hit stands December 9th. Barack to Buy Michelle $30K Ring... Word is that Barack is planning on buying Michelle a $30K rock to thank her for all of her support. The rock, made of rhodium, encrusted with diamonds, and designed by Italian jewelry designer Giovanni Bosco will be ready in time for Barack’s January inauguration. (Source)
Um, I love Michelle, and I’m sure she deserves more than a $30K ring, seeing as she’s one of the baddest ride or die chicks out there. But um, given our current economic state, I don’t think its such a good idea to be runnin’ a much buying bling.
