Spike Lee's Not Rich

Spike Lee recently told the UK’s Sunday Observer that he’s totally not rich. He said that he wanted his kids to go to public school like him, “But my wife put the kibosh on that. It’s not rich rich. Rich is Spielberg. Lucas. Gates. Steve Jobs. Jay-Z! Bruce Springsteen. I’m not complaining. But that’s money. Will Smith. Oprah Winfrey - that’s a ton of money. Compared to them, I’m on welfare!” Source
I’m sorry but I seem to have missed his point.
