Taraji's Past Revealed

Oscar nominee Taraji P. Henson is no stranger to rough times. She was in her third year at Howard when she got pregnant by her boyfriend William Johnson. However, she finished her degree and her son was born in 1995. Sadly though, William was brutally murdered in ’97.
Star has more on her struggles and triumphs. Even though she was pregnant she continued to perform in school productions, even dancing and singing in Dreamgirls during her second trimester. After her son’s father was killed she had to goon welfare. But she as able to redirect herself and eventually landed a leading rol in Baby Boy, a role so similar to her own life, that jumpstarted her career.

I knew she was a single mom but I had no idea that she’d gone through all of that. And here I thought I had it tough. Well it’s always nice to hear bout somebody prevailing. And shut up! I know I’m a gossip writer but I really mean it!
