Mike Epps Wanted Pryor Role

Comedian Mike Epps feels shafted. He said he was supposed to play Richard Pryor in the biopic about him but Eddie Murphy swooped in and got the role.

In a recent interview with Jawn Murray, when asked about Eddie portraying Richard Pryor in the upcoming biopic, Mike replied, “No disrespect, but I sat with Richard Pryor for an entire year, and he hand-picked me to play that role.” Will he end up getting the gig? “I believe that Richard’s spirit will determine that.” Source

Eh, I don’t see it. I don’t think he’s that great of an actor or even that funny. I watched his tv special with a stone face. Didn’t even crack a smile.
