Rihanna's Tat is Wrong

Rihanna recently got a Sanskrit tattoo on her hip that is supposed to read "forgiveness, honesty, suppression and control". But a Sanskrit expert Mark Fielden claims that the text is incorrectly written, according. Source

Dang, I wonder what it REALLY says. My ‘Om’ tattoos on my feet aren’t correct. But that’s for several reasons:

  1. I walked out of the shop before realizing the symbol was missing a peace.
  2. the shop was in Georgetown and I live in Jersey so I wasn’t going back.
  3. On second thought I liked the way it looked without the extra piece.
  4. I realized that if I had the true symbol on my foot that it might offend someone…this was after talking to a real Buddhist…I’m not a Buddhist, I just play one on TV.
  5. And most importantly, even though it only took 5 minutes to do, it hurt like a bitch so there’s no way I’ll ever go back and get it finished.
