Mary Anne Get's Nabbed for that Sweet Cheeba

Dawn Wells who played Maryann on Gilligan’s Island got busted for weed possession last year when she was pulled over for reckless driving. The arresting officer said, “I exited my patrol vehicle and immediately was able to smell a strong odor of burning marijuana. As I approached the vehicle I noticed all four windows of the vehicle were lowered and the female driver was not wearing a jacket.”
Maryanne told him that she had picked up three hitchhikers but kicked them out of the car when they started smoking “something”. The car was searched…twice, and the search turned up four partially smoked joints. The charges of driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance were dropped in accordance with the plea agreement Wells made with prosecutors.
