M.I.A. Opening Two Schools in Africa

The $100K that rapper M.I.A. earned for performing at an MTV Awards after party is going to building schools in Africa. "They're giving me $100,000. Not bad, eh?" she said while on stage. "I'm going to use it to build schools in Liberia. It costs $52,000 to build a school for 1,000."
M.I.A. is following in the footsteps of Madonna and Oprah who also funded the building of schools in Africa. Source
