Political Poop '08

Last week was the Republican National Convention and VP candidate Sarah Palin had some pretty rough things to say about Barack Obama in her speech. She said, "What exactly is our opponent’s plan? What does he actually seek to accomplish, after he’s done turning back the waters and healing the planet?" Asked Palin, "The answer is to make government bigger and take more of your money and give you more orders from Washington and to reduce the strength of America in a dangerous world.”
So Obama’s camp was quick to respond releasing a statement saying,
“The speech that Gov. Palin was well delivered, but it was written by George Bush’s speechwriter and sounds exactly like the same divisive, partisan attacks we’ve heard from George Bush for the last eight years. If Gov. Palin and John McCain want to define ‘change’ as voting with George Bush 90% of the time, that’s their choice, but we don’t think the American people are ready to take a 10% chance on change.” Source
Now I remember why I try to avoid politics at all costs…cus its so damn nasty.

More Poop… First Lady Laura Bush and Senetor McCain’s wife Cindy were in attendance at the RNC looking fierce. Their fierceness didn’t come at a small price either. Check out the estimated costs of their outfits.

Well, when your husband defines "rich" as $5 million… Personally I love her outfit.
