M.I.A. performed at the Grammys Sunday (February 8, 2009), which also happened to be her due date. Word is that she began having contractions as soon as the show started to air.
"She went into contractions when the show went on the air -- and she was not supposed to go on until Act 8 (as the eighth act). I asked her to just hang on until 10 p.m. ET. The kid's a gamer," said Jack Sussman, a CBS exec.(Watch the performance here)Source
Well if she was having contractions she surely didn’t show it.

In Other M.I.A. News…
M.I.A. gave birth to a baby boy on Thursday (February 12, 2009). This is the first baby for M.I.A. (nee Maya Arulpragasm) and her fiancé, Benjamin Bronfman.
Hoipefully M.I.A will be welcoming another addition, a nOscar for her song “O…Saya” that’s featured in “Slumdog Millionaire.” Source
