D.L. Hugheley Quits CNN Gig

D.L. Hughley had a weekly show on CNN. But he’s quitting to spend more time with his family because he had been traveling to New York to film but he resides in LA.
This isn’t it for him and CNN. He’ll still be a part time contributor for the network.
A statement released by a CNN spokesperson reads: "D.L. approached CNN about being permanently based in Los Angeles, where his family lives. To accommodate this, we agreed upon a new role where he will be a contributor for the network based in Los Angeles. We are eager to continue our relationship with D.L., who is a tremendous talent and a valued colleague."

Well I can say I’m happy that he’s not doing the show anymore. When I first heard that a black comedian was going to be on CNN, I thought, “Great!” But after actually watching the show, I found his commentary and segments to be quite Sambo-ish.
