Balfour's Lawyer Bails

Joshua Kutnick, the lawyer who’s been representing Willam Balfour, the man accused of killing three of Jennifer Hudson’s family members, has bailed out of the case.
He thinks he’s innocent but can’t financially support a case of this magnitude on his own.
"It's the kind of case that involves intense hours," Kutnick told reporters after speaking with Balfour's mother. "I was gathering all the resources, but I couldn't finance it." Source
And there goes another nail in Billy’s coffin.

Word is that the reason why William Balfour allegedly killed Darnell Donnerson, Jason Hudson, and Julian King had to do with jealousy over a present.
He was angry over a gift for Julia, his estranged wife, beleved to be from another man. Source

#27 Jennifer Cancels the Video Shoot of her Latest Single...

Jennifer was set to film a new video next week but she realized she’s not ready to head back to work.
"The video was set up before the tragedy and she felt like she should finish what she started, but she's realized that she's not ready to go back to work," a source says. "It's too early." Source

Update 22: Jennifer Hudson’s Mother and Brother Shot to Death

Police have arrested and officially chaged William Balfour with the murders of his mother in law Darnell Donerson, brother in law Jason Hudson, and step son Julian King.
His attourney says that he claims to be innocent.
"He vehemently denies that he is guilty in this case," Joshua Kutnick told reporters outside police headquarters.
"Any evidence pointing to Mr Balfour is not even thin. It is very, very weak," Mr Kutnick said.

Update 20: Jennifer Hudson’s Mother and Brother Shot to Death

As decided this past Monday (November 10, 2008), William Balfour, the ‘person of interest’ in the murders of Darnell Donerson, Jason Hudson, and Julian King, will remain in jail until December 3rd for a possible parole violation.
As part of his parole he was to attend anger management classes, substance abuse counseling sessions, visit his parole officer, and NOT be seen in places where drugs were sold or distributed. He has not complied with any of these terms. Source
These charges aside, what’s the progress of the murder case? It seems to have stalled and the police obviously don’t have enough evidence against Balfour if he remains uncharged.

Updates 18-19: Jennifer Hudson’s Mother and Brother Shot to Death

According to the Chicago Tribune, the girlfriend of William Balfour, who’s currently pregnant with his child, says that he told her he had a part in the murders of Darnell Donerson, Jason Hudson, and Julian King. Source

Although Balfour has not been charged with anything he will remain in jail contrary to earlier reports that he would be released if no charges were filed.
A hearing was held and there was sufficient evidence that he had violated parole in another icident so he’ll remain locked up.
Jennifer Hudson continues to trudge along. Her friend and stylist, Vogue editor Andre Leon Talley told Us Magazine, "She is doing very, very well. She's very strong. I think that she has such strength. There's so much strength within her that she's going to be OK. The message that she sent to me is that she appreciates all the messages of love that come from all the fans." Source
