Hillary and Bill are Dunzo?

According to the National Enquirer, Hillary had divorce papers drawn up to end her and Bill’s marriage. She included a list of Bill’s known lovers which include two actresses: Saffron Burrows (Boston Legal, Reign Over Me, Troy), and Julie Bowen (Lost, Weeds, Boston Legal).

Obamapolooza!!!!!

An Obama adviser has confirmed that Barack and Hillary aare close to finalizing her appointment to the position of Secretary of state.
Obama is convinced the advantages of Clinton serving far outweighed potential downsides, the adviser said.
An official announcement isn’t expected until after the Thanksgiving holiday. Hilary woud have to resign her New York senate seat to take the position. Source

The Democratic National Convention has been going on for a few days now so I figured I’d post some of the keynote speeches.

In Other Poop…

Two men were arrested this past Sunday in Colorado for a possible assassination attempt on presideantial hopeful Barack Obama. Tharin Gartrell was pulled over by police who found two rifles and meth in his car. He later led police to a hotel where Nathon Johnson was arrested. And a third man, Shawn Adolf, broke his ankle jumping from a hotel window to avade police. He was later taken into custody.
No definitive assassination plot was uncovered. But the men were found just miles away from where the Democratic National Convention is being held.
“This is a methamphetamine and firearms case that arose from a traffic stop made by an Aurora Police officer,” said Paul Bresson an FBI national spokesman assigned to the Convention. “Firearms and methamphetamine were seized and a number of individuals are in state custody. The matter continues to be under investigation. We’ll provide more information as it becomes available.”
The men are believed to have ties to a biker groups with connections to white supremacy groups."It's premature to say that it was a valid threat or that these folks have the ability to carry it out," said a US government official familiar with the investigation. A news conference is set for this afternoon. Source
If this was indeed a plot to kill Senator Obama, I’m sad to say it probably won’t be the first. There are a lot of people out there who are upset to see the possibility of a black man running the country. All I can hope is that any and all attempts are foiled.

Political Poop '08

Barack and Hillary appeared at a Unity rally in New Hampshire on Friday. But what might possibly be of more note was the fundraiser they appeared at on Thursday night. As you know, Hilz is in debt up the wazoo, so Barack joined her at a fund raiser and he and his wife personally donated $2,300 to her cause. That is the max that any individual can legally donate.
"We have to make it a priority in our lives to elect Barack Obama the next president of the United States. I know my supporters have extremely strong feelings, and I know Barack's do as well. But we are a family, and we have an opportunity now to really demonstrate clearly we do know what's at stake, and we will do whatever it takes to win back this White House."
Barack added, "I recognize that this room shared the same passion that a roomful of my supporters would show. I do not expect that passion to be transferred. Sen. Clinton is unique, and your relationships with her are unique. Sen. Clinton and I at our core agree deeply that this country needs to change. I’m going to need Hillary by my side campaigning during his election, and I'm going to need all of you."
He asked for the votes of her supporters but still has yet to announce whether or not she’ll be joining him on the ticket. The only response he had to such rumors was that she “would be on anyone's short list." Source
I seriously wonder if Barack will run with Hillary. On the one hand the thought of having a black man, and a woman in charge of the country is exciting and fascinating. But and however, pigs would fly, hell would freeze over, and I’d pay my cable bill on time before that would go down. So um, if he wants to get any closer to the White House, he might want to drop any ideas of running with that ball busting broad. Just a thought.

Hillary is STILL fundraising. No, she’s not trying to run anymore…that dream is long deferred. Instead she’s trying to make up for all the money she spent and borrowed to run her campaign. Hillz is in debt for $20 million, half of which was money she loaned herself.
She said in a Web video, “Today, I still need your help." While the text next the video reads: “By helping us pay off our campaign debt, you’re not just helping Hillary elect a Democratic president and grow our majority in Congress. You’re making it possible for her to work as hard as she can on the issues we care about.”
She can’t even fully rely on Barack for help. Though he can help her raise money the Obama campaign isn’t allowed to retire her debt directly. Source
I’m not sure how this politics stuff works. But seems to me that once someone starts borrowing money from themselves that they’re headed for disaster. Dang, sucks to be you Hillz, no?

In Other Poop…

Gov. Schwarzenegger is backing fellow republican John McCain for president. But and however, he wants to make it clear that he and McCain have different beliefs with it comes to off-shore drilling. McCain isn’t opposed to off-shore drilling, whereas Schwarzenegger called the California coastline, “an international treasure.” “Governor Schwarzenegger does not support lifting the moratorium on offshore drilling,” said aide Matt David. It’s McCain’s position on this matter that may lose him Cali’s 55 electoral votes. Source
Way to piss off one of the biggest states in the country. Smart, real smart.

And Finally a Little Obamapoolooza… Barack is covering Rolling Stone…again. He was on the cover of the music mag just a few short months ago and this freckled cutie is back for more. In the magazine, hitting newsstands Friday, Barack discusses his music tastes and what artists are in heavy rotation in his iPod.
"I have pretty eclectic tastes," said the man who may very possibly be our next president. He’s listened too everything from Elton John to Miles Davis. But he seems to be particularly into Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen. Not only is he a fan of them but they seem to be fans of his. Springsteen backs Barack’s bid for the presidency. Dylan told a British newspaper that he believes Obama is redefining politics in the United States and could deliver change to a nation in upheaval.
"I've got to say, having both Dylan and Bruce Springsteen say kind words about you is pretty remarkable. Those guys are icons." Source
Rolling Stone is no stranger to politics. The magazine has featured politicians like Bill Clinton, George McGovern, Jimmy Carter, and Al Gore on its cover. But to grace the cover not only once, but twice…within a year…or actually a few short months, is quite a feat.
On another note (I never miss the chance to nitpick) I was watching the Today Show this morning and they featured a story on this magazine cover. When discussing Barack’s musical tastes, the voice over said that Barack likes everything from “Stevie Wonder to Jay-Z”. The establishing shot however was of Stevie Wonder and…Joe Budden. I need to know who is responsible for that. You can see for yourself…fast forward to 1:15.

I mean seriously, all they had to do was type in Jay-Z in Google Images and pick any one of the plethora of pics. Shoddy work…shoddy work.

As many of you are aware a controversial art exhibit called “The assassination of Hilary Clinton/The Assassination of Brack Obama” was shut down before it could be viewed and the artist Yazmany Arboleda was taken into custody for questioning.
Arboleda had this to say in his defense: “It’s art. It’s not supposed to be harmful. It’s about character assassination — about how Obama and Hillary have been portrayed by the media.” He added, “It’s about the media.” Source
Before viewing pictures of the exhibit I said to myself, “Self, why are folks all up in arms? It’s art and he has freedom of speech on his side.”I still believe that freedom of expression should be upheld. But and however, when your expression is or can be widely viewed as hateful or possibly incite violence or riot then you need to reevaluate your message. And that’s all I have to say about that.

In other Political Poop…

SVEDKA Vodka had a full page ad in the New York Times offering Hillary Clinton a coupon to redeem free vodka for the rest of the election season. The ad thanks Hilz for making the election season so exciting and encourages her to sit back and have herself a drank. Source
Yea, that or allow herself to sink into the dark abysmal realm of alcoholism because she’s such a failure.

Hilary is dunzo and what’s left to do but sit down, shut up, and tip her hat to Barack the BOMBER! Just kidding. I know nothing of politics. But what I do know is that Hilz is finished and is backing Obama. When she stepped down this past weekend she told her supporters to shift support to Barack. She said they should

“take our energy, our passion and our strength and do all we can to help elect Barack Obama … I ask all of you to join me in working as hard for Barack Obama as you have for me.” CNN

Shortly after Barack had this to say:
“Obviously, I am thrilled and honored to have Sen. Clinton’s support. But more than that, I honor her today for the valiant and historic campaign she has run. She shattered barriers on behalf of my daughters and women everywhere, who now know that there are no limits to their dreams. And she inspired millions with her strength, courage and unyielding commitment to the cause of working Americans.”

Yes? No? Or Maybe...Check One

I’ve been waiting to comment on the presidential race until all this boring primary kibble is over with. Now that Barack has cinched the democratic nomination I'm good to go. But and however, our home girl Hilary just doesn’t know when to quit. NO MEANS NO! Hoe sit down! I must say that I have nothing against Hilz generally speaking. And one of the only things I know about Barack is that he looks pretty sweet in a pair of flat front slacks. As far as I'm concerned a politician is a politician is a politician. But its refreshing to see the possibility of having a leader who looks like…me.
OK, so this is how this is going to work. I’ll try to do a political wrap up at least once a week until the results are in. What shall we call it? I was thinking Political Poop ’08 but I’m willing to accept suggestions. While we’re talking about politics I came across this pic on O Hell Naw! And the first thought I was WAS NOT ‘Dang that’s inspirational”. NO. My first thought was “Dang all those men in the background are dead…five of which were assassinated.”
