Natalie Cole just keeps on truckin’. She was diagnosed with Hep C last year and its taken a real toll on her. She’s had to undergo chemotherapy. But instead of canceling her life, she’s taking her treatments on the road. While touring she takes her treatments backstage before her shows.
She says, “Whatever horror stories you have heard about chemo is true. It is absolutely one of the most debilitating and difficult experiences that could ever happen to a human being. Trying to perform was a real challenge. Just picture an IV hanging from a wardrobe rack in my dressing room in Japan as I tried to prepare for two shows in a night."
On the one had I have a certain kind of respect for someone who can not let a disease get them down. On the other hand I think she’s silly for risking her health like that when rest is the best medicine for her.
