Update: Jena 6

Mychal Bell pleaded guilty to battery charges for last year’s highly publicized beating of a classmate following a string of racially motivated incidents. His original charge of attempted murder was reduced in June to second-degree battery, a charge which was thrown out of court and Bell was retried, this time as a juvenile.
His sentence: 18 months in jail. But since he’s already served ten months he has 8 months left…at least on that charge. He has 16 months left on another unrelated charge. But sentences will be served concurrently. He also has to “pay court costs plus $935 to Barker’s family, testify should his co-defendants in the Barker attack stand trial, undergo counseling and be reintegrated into the school system.”
Well, as they say…do the crime…you know the rest. If he's anything like some of the other accused I'm sure he’ll be out in no time using his new found freedom to guest host 106 & Park or somethin’.
