Siegfried and Roy are hinting at coming out of retirement. For those of you who don’t know them, this German dynamic duo had a uberly fabulous Las Vegas magic show that incorporated the use of big ol’ ferocious tigers who did tricks and such. Anyway, about 4 or 5 years ago one of the tigers almost mauled Roy to death. He was disfigured and remained at least partially paralyzed until recently. Well when asked about coming back to the strip Roy said: “A good magician never lets the cat out of the bag. Act surprised when you hear about it.”Added Siegfried: “It’s all in the experimental stage, conceptual.”
Las Vegas Review JournalI really admire their can-do attitude but um…hmm, how can I put this gently. NO! NO! and…NO! I have zero need or desire to see those two old geezers leading tigers through rings of fire. And I can barely look at pictures of Roy without feeling ill never mind the nervous vomiting that would result from viewing a live show. This isn't good for them and its not good for the public. Take your losses and sit down somewhere. Please!
