DJ K-Swift Dies at 29

Khia Edgerton, better known as DJ K-Swift, was found dead Monday (July 21st, 2008) at her Baltimore home. She was apparently the victim of a drowning. She had a pool party the previous day at her home and according to witnesses was drinking heavily before getting in the pool. When she didn’t resurface a lifeguard jumped in, pulled her body out and performed CPR while waiting for medics. Medics also performed CPR but were unsuccessful. She was pronounced dead at Good Samaritan Hospital.
K-Swift was held in esteem with female DJs like Jazzy Joyce and Cocoa Channel and is the only female to hold the title of female mix show coordinator at Baltimores 92 Q Jams. K-Swift was 29-years old. Source
