Isaac Hayes RIP

Isaac Hayes passed away yesterday (Sunday August 10, 2008) at the age of 65. Hayes’ wife and 2-year old son went to the grocery store around noon. When they returned they found him unresponsive next to a still running treadmill. Paramedics were called and attempted to revive him at the scene. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Hayes became famous for his arrangement for the 1971 action film Shaft, for which he won an Oscar. The Scientologist found a new fan base when he became the voice of Chef for Comedy Central’s South Park. Source
It’s been a really sad weekend. Imma go sit in a dark room and listen to his version of “Never Can Say Goodbye” on repeat.
