Ben Vareen Gets Sued

Ben Vereen’s daughter’s ex-fiance is suing them both for over $10 million. He claims he gave Malaika Vereen a $30k engagement ring, spent $250k over the course of two years dating her, and put down $123k on a house for her. After they broke up he heard malaika was going to rent the house out. After looking at the deed, Ben’s name was the only name on it.
He claims Ben told him, "my word is my word, we don't have to sign anything. He told me that everything would be okay. ... I tried reaching out to him ... he said it's out of his hands."
He wants the ring returned, to be reimbursed for the house, as well as $5 million in damages.

Um, did I mention he works at UPS? Yea, unless he’s been saving his communion money I have no idea where he got all this cash to begin with.
