Natasha Richardson, Dead at 45

Actress Natasha Richardson passed away Wednesday night (March 18, 2009) after sustaining injuries from a ski accident. Natasha, wife of actor Liam Neeson, and daughter of actress Vanessa Redgrave, was taking a skiing lesson in Quebec when she fell and hit her head. She left the lesson laughing off her injury but was later rushed to the hospital after complaining of a headache. Her family chose to take her off of life support and she died a few hours later.
The family released the below statement:
“Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.” Source
