Updates 42-46: Chris Brown Arrested

Update 42:
CB’s legal team was able to score a postponement in the cast until April 6th for further investigation or to strike a plea deal. Chris stood in court on Friday (March 6, 2009) virtually silent except to give a few short affirmative answers to the judge.
Also present was Rihanna’s lawyer, Donald Etra, who confirmed that Rih won’t be asking for a “no-contact order”. SOURCE
Here’s a vid of the proceedings:

And why is Rih’s lawyer shaking Chris’s hand like he’s star struck. Unprofessional Cuss!

Update 43:
In a random turn, Chris or someone on his staff updated his myspace page to thank fans for their support and encourage them to vote for him in the upcoming Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards, where he’s nominated for Favorite Male Singer and Favorite Song (Kiss, Kiss).
The message reads:
"Hey fans, Vote for Chris on the Kids Choice Awards 2009 link provided below... Thank you for your support." The Kids' Choice Awards take place nine days before he’s to appear again in court. Source
SMDH.

Update 44:
Rih’s lawyer, Donald Etra, says that she will only testify in the case against Chris Brown if she is required to by subpoena.
"She is planning to do everything that the law requires her to do," Etra tells Us Weekly. "If she is required to testify, she will do so." Source

Update 45:
According to TMZ Chris will cop a plea to a misdemeanor that doesn’t inlcude ANY jail time.
Here’s what they have to say:
We're told Brown's people have consulted with outside legal eagles -- including law school professors -- who have said Rihanna's own aggressiveness takes it out of the felony category. Sources say Rihanna was the first one to strike -- slapping and striking Brown "numerous times" while he was driving, after seeing the text message from another woman. And Rihanna was fighting Brown as he punched and hurt her. We're told much of this is reflected in the official police report based on what Rihanna told cops. As a result, they say, this is not a case that demands a felony plea.On the other side, there are plenty of cases in which the woman engages the man in a fight but the jury convicts the male because it was an unfair fight and the man could have walked away. The photographs of Rihanna -- the most graphic of which have not been seen by the public -- demonstrate Brown's superior strength. Add to that the fact that Brown had no significant injuries and it presents problems for him.And there's this. According to the detective's note filed with the search warrant papers, Brown sent a text message to Rihanna's assistant in which he apologized for what he had done to Rihanna and said he was getting help. That would be admissible in court and extremely damaging -- as a legal admission. Source
Well, of course. Y’all didn’t think he’d say, “Yup…I did it.”

Update 46:
Sean “Beady Eyes and Unfortunate Teeth” Combs contends that he had no idea that Chris and Rih were staying at his Star Island mansion.
According to Page Six:
“Chris called and said he needed to crash at Diddy’s house while he was recording. He said it would just be him and his mom.”
In fact, It’s supposedly Chris who brought Rih there himself and called the photogs. “Chris is a dog,” another spy said. “He’s always been so critical and nasty to Rihanna, making fun of her accent.” Source
