Brit Will be Free Soon

Jamie Spear’s conservatorship of her estate will be ending in November and she’ll be getting back control of her financial affairs.
Jamie gained control over her estate after she had a breakdown at the beginning of 2008.
A judge will be reviewing the terms of the arrangement and Jamie thinks Britney is now ready to take care of herself. Source
Good for her. It’s been a LONG tough road.

Jamie to Add More Shows to Brit's Tour?

Jamie Spears wants Brit to do more shows and show she’s supposed to be adding more dates to the U.K. leg of her tour. However, insiders say that she doesn’t want to do it because of her already grueling schedule.

A family friend said, "Jamie can't physically force Britney to get on stage and do more concerts, but he does have nearly all the power. He controls the purse strings and can make things very difficult for Britney if he chooses to.

"He gets to dictate her schedule - where she goes, who she sees, who she doesn't see. He's in charge of everything to do with her life. It's a battle of wills over who will win - but while her dad remains in charge, he'll be laying down the law." Source

I wonder how long he’ll be able to be in control of her career. She may not be crazy at the moment but a schedule like this is destined to send her over the edge…again.

Brit to Appear in Court to Fight to End Conservatorship

Britney has hired lawyer Jon Eardley to represent her in her conservatorship case. However her dad is the only one who can employ a lawyer so he’s taken out a restraining order against him saying that he’s trying to sabotage all his good work.

Jon feels that Brit should be considered mentally sound enough to testify in Superior court.

The papers, obtained by E! Online, state, "If Britney Spears is well enough to put on two concerts in Los Angeles, she is certainly well enough to attend a trial where attorneys on her behalf have falsely accused Jon Eardley of harassment."

The purpose of the case is to decide whether Jamie should continue as Brit’s conservator as well as if the restraining orders against Sam Lutfi and Adnan Ghalib should conclude or be extended. Source

This whole case has to be weird considering she lives with her dad but is now going toe to toe with him for her freedom.

Papa Spears Fighting One of Brit's Biggest Fan Sites

Jamie Spears took legal action against Jordan Miller, the owner of BreatheHeavy.com, one of Brit’s top sites, for posting unauthorized photos, lyrics and videos.
In a message to fans on the site's front page , Miller wrote, "I have been battling the conservatorship Britney is currently placed under for months now.
"When I did not conform to the requests and demands Britney’s management and father, Jamie Spears, recently put upon BreatheHeavy to stay quiet, they in turn became angry and malicious, launching, what I feel is an unjust attack, against me and my website."
He signs off with, "This conservatorship Britney is placed under, which controls every aspect of her life, is now clenching the future of her biggest fansite." Miller is asking fans to donate funds so he can fight the legal action. If the site remains, Jamie is going to pursue damages against Miller. Source
Shut ‘em down! Shut ‘em, shut eem, down!
