Salvatore Lo Piccolo, a mobster who had been on the run since like forever was finally caught in Palermo Italy Thursday. What did policia find in his home? The 10 Mob Commandments, that’s what!. Apparently Sal, who was tying to become the next “boss of bosses" in Sicilian mafia, wrote the commandments which opened with "I swear to be faithful to Cosa Nostra. Should I betray, my flesh will burn." The commandments don’t allow for mobsters to hang out in bars, make nice with cops, or be late. It also talks about how to treat women folk, "You shall not look at wives of our friends. You shall respect your wife." But don’t get it twisted "be available for Cosa Nostra at any moment, even if your wife is about to give birth."
For a man who has successfully averted police 40 years I say we listen to him. Tony Soprano ain’t got nothing on Uncle Sal. I’m curious though, which commandment says “To be successful one must flaunt their wealth all while dressing for comfort. Ergo thou shall wear many chains of gold and velour sweat suits”. I would say that should be commandment 2 or 3 but I’ll ask Uncle Sal for a definitive answer.
