HBO's Got Love for the Ladies

HBO has ordered 13 episodes of the series “The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency”, a show based on the books by Alexander McCall Smith. The cast includes Jill Scott as Precious Ramotswe, the proprietor of the only female-owned detective agency in Botswana. Anika Noni Rose plays her quirky secretary, Mma Makutsi and Lucian Msamati stars as Ramotswe’s devoted suitor, JLB Matekoni. Actor Idris Elba also makes an appearance in the pilot. Source
I’ve never read these books but it looks pretty interesting. HBO has some pretty awesome series (In Treatment is my new obsession). I think I’ll have to check this out when it begins airing.
