Shaquille O’Neal is the man. I must admit. I’ve never seen someone just real in the deals and random gigs like him. He’ll be staring in a new ABC show called “Shaq Vs.”
The sow will pair Shaq up against other sports heavyweights. Shaq and all his competetors will have to undergo rigorous training. There will also be a press conference and interviews before the final competition.
He’ll be up against sports stars like Michael Phelps, Ben Roethlisberger, and Serena Williams.
"These athletes may be on top of their game, but I am up for the challenge," said O'Neal. "I plan to train hard and win, so look out."The show debuts August 18 at 9 p.m. on the ABC.
I must admit Shaq is a guilty pleasure of mine. I’ll be watching. Will you.

En Vogue: The Reality Show?

R&B group, En Vogue, may be eyeing up a reality TV show. The quartet is working on a new album to be released later this year and they’re thinking of documenting their 20th anniversary with a reality show.
Dawn Robinson says, "It's just another venue to get our music out there. The industry has changed. It's not just about getting a record deal anymore. It's about exposure."
Terry Ellis adds, "Twenty years in the business is a long time and we've had a lot of fun in the process, but there's also been some ups and downs and we'd like to share some of that." Source
I love those girls! I’ve been likened to Cindy Heron (even though I’m flattered, I don’t think I look anything like her). I really can’t wait to see what they’ve got in store for us.

Dr. Drew Gets a New Show

Dr. Drew Pinsky has signed on to do another rehab show for VH1. But this time its not about drug and alcohol abuse. This time he’ll be starring in “Sex Rehab With Dr. Drew”.

VH1 released a statement about their new project:

“In this eight-episode one-hour series, Dr. Drew is turning his attention and cameras on a very widespread but rarely talked about addiction. Sexual compulsion afflicts roughly 6% of the American population and carries the same devastating consequences as any other addiction. For addicts, sex isn’t even pleasurable, but rather a way to escape the pain of past loss, childhood trauma, abuse and abandonment. Like many other addictions, their habits can cost them their jobs, their marriages, even their lives. Despite all this, the affliction is often dismissed because it's not understood how something as natural and beautiful as sex can be an addiction.” Source

Muy interesante. I’m sure I’ll be watching.

Beyonce the Cartoon?

Bey is lending her voice to the nick kids show Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! She’ll be playing Shine, the star of The Wubb Girlz band.
She says, "I'm so happy to be a part of 'Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!' because I'm finally able to impress my nephew. I can identify with Shine, having grown up in Destiny's Child. The Wubb Girlz are all about unity (and) they sing cool harmonies." Source
Poor dumb Beyonce. Does she realize what she says sometimes? Alluding that like the Wubb Girlz, Destiny’s child is about unity…did she forget about LaToya and Latavia, or Farrah, or even her adopted (but sorta biological) sister Kelly, or Michelle? Poor Michelle. She bit the dust on live TV and Bey and Kellz just let her lay on the ground. So sad.

Fanny's Got a New Gig

Fantasia will be joining the Reality TV world soon. She’s just inked a deal with VH1 for her own show. “Fantasia has one of the most fascinating stories in show business, from her tough upbringing to her meteoric rise on the national scene thanks to American Idol. Her challenges from fame and her unwillingness to fail have combined to create a larger-than-life talent who appeals to music lovers around the world. So many people wanted to work with her on this, but Fantasia is now part of the VH1 family, and we’re so happy to have her” says VH1 exec Jeff Olden. Source
I can’t say I’m interested enough in Fanny’s life to watch. But then again I said the same thing about Ray J and I haven’t missed an episode of his show.

Rudy Huxtable Post

Keisha Knight Pulliam was the victim of identity theft on Twitter. Apparently someone created an account that was supposed to be her. When a pic of her and fellow actor Lance Gross hit the net he asked her if she’d seen it on Twitter and she told him she didn’t have an account. He then tweeted to the fake account :

hey so Keisha just told me she doesn’t have a twitter account yet K_KnightPulliam isn’t really her:-/.”

When the imposter realized they’d been found out they changed the accout to @FakeRudyHuxtbl

But here’s the scary thing. The person who had been impersonating her had sent messages to celebs trying to exchange private information including Yung Berg and Malik Yoba who unknowingly tweeted to the fake:

Yung Berg: I would love to fly yo sexy azz out to miami wit me, whats good?! hit my line (insert number)

Malik Yoba: Damn girl!!! mmm mmm mmm How u have womanized!! Hit Me direct (insert number)

Source

I just got on Twitter and I’m still trying to see the appeal but it’s ish like this that makes me leary of it. Thank God I’m not famous. Lol.

In Other Rudy News…

She’s getting her own reality show on Oxygen called “Keshia and Kaseem.” The show follows Keshia and her entrepreneur boyfriend Kaseem as they show us what it’s like to be “young, rich, single and co-habitating.” Source

I don’t think I’ll watch it but I gotta give her props for slowly making a pretty decent come back.

PS-I’m still mad about her stank attitude at my house party. Marlon shoulda flushed her phone down the toilet.

No New Music From JT

<

Regardless of rumors of a new album, JT is not working on any music. He’s producing MTV’s show “the Phone” and has only been hitting the studio to work on the projects of others.

"Right now, I like the idea that things can just kind of pop up and if they feel right I can do them," says Timberlake. "Committing to my own sort of project, that’s like, 'Okay, let me block out two years of my life and do it.' I was heavily fulfilled with the last one and I always have this thing with myself that if I can’t sleep because I need to do it, then I’m gonna do it. But if I’m not losing sleep over it then…" Source

I’m not mad at him for pursuing other things. But I would have liked to see some new stuff from him.

On the show pro designers will compete and be judged by pros in the fashion industry as well as the studio audience.

Nelly Shopping New Variety Show

Rapper Nelly is shopping around a variety show to different networks. The show is tentatively called “Nelly’s Night in Vegas,” and will feature Nelly performing and interacting with different celebs.
"I was thinking about what was missing on TV, and when this idea came about, it made sense for me," Nelly said, according to Variety. "We do have talkshows, but no one's speaking from the pop culture perspective. Let's get a little more pop, a little more edge, a little bit younger, and not look like you're sitting in the principal's office. As a performer, that's the type of show you look forward to going on."Not only does he have a venue (Planet Hollywood) but he also has sponsors. Source
Well go on Nelly. I’m a marginal fan so I’m not opposed to checking it out once he finds a home.

Please Hammer Don't Hurt 'Em

MC Hammer will have a new reality show in A&E called “Hammertime.” The show will premiere this year and will follow Hammer and his family.
"Here's a dad with five kids, married to the same woman for more than 23 years, living in the same place where he grew up and going to church every Sunday," producer J.D. Roth said. "He's had his ups and downs, and it's what makes him such a character you root for." Source
There is something awesomely ridiculous about this man. I’ll probably watch in hopes to see him do THE dance.

chuck to Get His Own Reality Show

Charles “I was just getting some head” Barkley is going to star in his own reality TV show. Even though he’s suspended from his TNT sports commentator job he’ll be working with The Golf Channel to star in The Haney Project.
Barkley, an avid golfer, will appear in the show with legendary instructor Hank Haney "to improve a swing that has been laughed at by millions and ridiculed by his closest friends". Source
Uh, so seven episodes of him learning how to use a golf club? No thanks. How about a 12 episode reality show on VH1 where he teaches celebs how to talk to prostitutes? Now THAT would be interesting.

The special will show them rehearsing, seeing vocal coaches, attending therapy sessions, as well as meeting with former members of the group. Source
I don’t know what the point of this show is. I don’t know why Keith Sweat has anything to do with this. I don’t know who this new guy “Tao” is.
