Fanny's Gettin' Her Learn On

Singer Fantasia, says that she wants to get her GED.
“I’ve been talking about it for so long. I have a lot of young people who look up to me, like my 15-year-old brother and 7-year-old daughter. “It’s something that I really need to do and that I want to do.”
“I had to sit back for awhile and had to get some things settled,” she said. “I had been with a lot of people not doing what they said they were going to do. I didn’t have time to sit back and cry. I didn’t have time to go to a mental health counselor. I had to keep my s–t on straight—excuse my language!—and handle my business, because it’s not just about me. It’s about me and my whole family.” Source
Good for her. She could just sit back and be complacent with being a star. But she’s actually trying to set an example. Kudos Fanny!
