15. Andre 3000-Speeding Rapper/actor/fashion designer Andre 300 (nee Andre Benjimen) was arrested on Saturday (March 28th) when police caught him driving down I-075 in Atlanta going 109 mph in a 65 mph zone.
"He checked that speed on his laser device, which showed 109 miles per hour," Henry County Police Capt. Jason Bolton told Channel 2. "Traveling that fast along I-75, you're passing vehicles almost like they're standing still. And it's an accident waiting to happen."
"He may have indicated that he was headed to a birthday party," Bolton said.
He was released a few hours later on $1,200 bail and will have to face charges in court on April 29th. Source

Rapper Andre 3000 of Outkast is having trouble selling his new Benjamin Bixby label. He launched in September and the company is now in financial straights.
The collection is now being sold off at a big discount to boost sales.

Andre 3000 Regrets Gettin' Tatted Up

Rapper Andre 300 says that he wishes he hadn’t gotten so many tattoos when he was younger. He says, "I regret my tattoos. I had six silly tattoos done when I was young and I bitterly regret them. I've thought about laser surgery, but that leaves a scar, so I'm just leaving them." Source
Hey, it is what it is. I have a giant dragon tramp stamp. The good thing is that at least I don’t have to look at mine.

Andre 3000 Goes Solo

Andre 3000, nee Andre Benjimin, will be finally releasing a solo album as early as December. He told Rolling Stone, "It should be dropping by the end of this year or early next year. I've pretty much been working with myself."
"I've never really been that big on collaboration," he said. "I have a concept, and all the soundscapes are already in my head, so I just have to figure out how to get there. I've learned that I'm most powerful when I'm doing my art."
Andre is also starring alongside Woody Harrelson, in “Battle in Seattle”. Source

Andre 300 Launches Line

Rapper/actor/sexyman Andre 3000 launched his menswear line ‘Benjamin Bixby’ at Barneys NY this past Friday (September 5, 2008).

The line includes 70 different pieces and is inspired by old college documentaries. Source I love it even though he’s probably the only person who won’t look like an ass in this stuff. He’s come a long way from his white wig/rocket launcher days. But it’s ok…this was the period right after dealing with Erykah Badu…we understand Dre…we understand.
