Mya's Been Celibate for a Year

According to Mya she’s been celibate for a year…from booze that is. She was challenged to give it up for 6 months but prolonged that bet to a year.
“I was free and celibate from alcohol for 365 days. I couldn’t have a sip of anything. My friends would socially drink, and I couldn’t because it was a goal. It was officially six months, but it turned into a year for me. That’s a pretty hard challenge, but I did it.”
She adds, “I am disciplined. When I say I’m going to do something and I challenge myself, I like to look at myself in the mirror and be proud.” Source
Kudos to her. Depending on your lifestyle giving up the bottle for six days might be a stretch.

Mya Denies She's Wit Gucci Mane

Singer Mya and rapper Gucci Mane were recently photographed together and rumors began to fly that they were shaggin’. Mya released a statement to refute the rumor.
“We are friends and artistic colleagues, nothing more.”
“I am offended that pictures and assertions have been levied against me without consideration for the truth and how it affects me. Gucci and I are friends and he is on one of my new songs soon to be released. That’s why I was in Atlanta this weekend – celebrating his return and recording our new collaboration. To our friends, fans, and supporters – thank you for your concern and I apologize for the inconvenience of having to deal with these bogus rumors.”
Hajji Harrison, Mya’s manager, said, “We want all of Mya’s focus and energy to be on her new project – not on defending false accusations about her personal life. Her new CD is extremely hot and fresh. Gucci’s lyricist flow is also hot and and we are pleased that he did a record with her.” Source

Mya Pregnant?

Rumors are floating around that singer/dancer Mya is pregnant. She’s supposedly knocked up by Jared Najjar, son of Lee Najjar (Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kim’s Big Poppa)
The two supposedly met at a party in LA and have been dating under the radar ever since.
UPDATE: Mya’s pr peoples say that the story isn’t true and that it’s her brother who is expecting his first child. Source
Hmmm, muy interestante. I’d think Mya would jump at the chance of getting some extra attention. We’ll see if she’s pictured buying baby clothes anytime soon.
