Travis and Shanna Living Together

Travis Barker and ex Shanna Moakler have been rumored to be back together following his near death plane crash. And now they’re reportedly living together for the sake of their two children.

A source told Us Weekly, "(They are living together) for the sake of the kids. They are getting along, but aren't romantic or getting back together." Us Weekly

Uh huh, I’m sorry but I don’t believe that people who have a romantic past can LIVE together without a little nook-nook/hide the sausage/sexo sexo. What do you think?

Travis and Shanna Getting Back Together

Drummer Travis Barker and ex, Shanna Moakler are getting hitched again just one short year after their divorce was final.
The turning point in their relationship was when Travis nearly died in a plane crash last September.
Shanna told Us Weekly, “We would like to renew our vows and have another wedding.
“It’s not so much about the wedding but about having a celebration of each other and getting through all the crazy things we’ve been through.
“When you almost lose a loved one, it makes you appreciate things you took for granted.” Source
I’m all for reconciliation, generally. I just hope, for the sake of the kids, that they also work on whatever broke them up to begin with.

Travis Barker Sues After Crash

Travis Barker is now suing the companies linked to the firey plane crash he was involved in a few months ago. The companies include Bombardier Inc. (makers of the Learjet), Clay Lacy Aviation (jet-charter company), and Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and he contends that collectively they improperly operated and maintained the jet involved in the crash. He wants damages for pain and suffering, disfigurement, loss of earnings, and medical and legal expenses.
Goodyear spokesman Ed Markey said it was "unfortunate" the suit was filed. "While the tires may have been involved, it is too early to speculate on a cause," said Markey. "The performance of the tire is dependent on how the tire was used, if it was properly maintained and whether it was damaged before the accident." Source
In the end someone has to be responsible, no?

Air Traffic Controll Tapes from Barker/AM Crash Released

The air traffic control tapes from the Travis Barker/ DJ AM Jet crash have been released.
In the tapes, air-traffic controllers can be heard asking for clearance for the jet to take off. Everything is cool until a controller can be heard saying, "We've had an emergency -- sir, you're not going to be able to land runway 1-1. We've had an emergency -- fly straight ahead."
The controller then says, "You need to get out there. The aircraft is -- there is a -- flames -- a fire, out on 3-0-2."
At one point, the air-traffic controller can be heard saying, "And I'm not sure you can get there via that way, you may have to go outside the airport to get to 'em. ... It went right off the end of 1-1 and right into -- on 302. You can see the smoke, I assume, heading to your right there." Source
Absolutely horrific.

Travis Barker Does an Interview with Us Weekly

Just weeks after a devastating plane crash Travis Barker is speaking out. He told Us Weekly that he’s "thankful to be alive."

"I hate planes," he tells the mag. "My biggest fear ever is to be involved in a plane crash, so when that happened ... well, I'm just thankful to be alive! I'm just grateful to be here at all." Barker got choked up a bit explained, the mag said.
He was released from the Georgia hospital and went home to LA via bus where he’s currently under treatment at the Grossman Burn Center.
When asked how he's doing, he responded, "I am doing the best I can possibly be. I'm so anxious to get out of here. I was in Georgia at the hospital over there and was scared to death to even get on an airplane again, so I had Shanna and my father come out and meet me and we took a bus back to L.A. I've just been in surgery after surgery. I have third-degree burns basically from my feet up to my waist and both hands. One of my hands has second-degree burns and one has third-degree burns."He also said that because of his low protein levels he’s had to eat meat even though he’s a vegetarian.
"Because I was a vegetarian, for my first three surgeries, it was hard to get any of my grafts to take to my real skin," he said. "I have such low levels of protein. I need protein from food rather than just protein supplements. I changed my diet. I would do anything I possibly could [to get better]. They said, 'There's a possibility you might heal faster if you do eat meat or just change your eating habits.' So I did. I don't regret it at all, because I feel so much better!"
He really just wants to get back to his life.
"I'm trying to have a quick recovery and play the drums again and be able to hold my kids again.” Source

I wonder how or if the burns will affect his drum playing. I’m hoping not at all. He’s been through enough.

Travis Barker and DJ AM in Fatal Plane Crash

Drummer and producer Travis Barker and DJ AM, nee Adam Goldstein, were critically injured in a plane crash Saturday (September 20, 2008). They were traveling from a performance in Columbia, South Carolina and never got off the ground. The plane sparked, ran off the runway, crashed through a metal fence and crossed a five lane highway before stopping.
An eyewitness told MSNBC that he "a fireball rolling across the highway." He then reported seeing two men who were "basically dumped out of the airplane upon the crash, who were standing in the road on fire, hitting each other trying to put the fire out," after which he attempted to "get in the plane to see if [I] could help anyone else but the flames at that point were just too bad." Travis, who was burned from the waste down, and Adam, who suffered burns to the arm and head, are in critical condition in a burn unit in South Carolina. The four other people on the plane all died. They included the two pilots Sarah Lemmon, 31, and James Bland, 52, as well as Barker’s assistant, Chris Baker, 29, and his bodyguard, Charles Still, 25.
The two survivors are expected to recover. Their families released a shared statement:
"Both Travis Barker and Adam Goldstein (DJ AM) are currently being treated for second and third degree burns. Barker suffered from burns on his torso and lower body and Goldstein suffered from burns on his arm and a portion of his head," according to the statement. "Since both Barker and Goldstein are in overall good health and didn't suffer from any other crash-related complications, a full recovery is expected."Thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of those lost and those trying to recover.
