Katy Taking Stabs at Travis

Katy Perry recently decided to warn women away from her ex Travis McCoy. She said, "Girls, if you have ever dated a boy - specifically the lead singer from Gym Class Heroes - don't do it! Boys should have a heart. You know what I mean girls? Boys just want the milk, but they don't want to buy the cow." Source

Katy and Travis are No More

Katy Perry and boyfriend Travis McCoy have broken up. A source close to them confirmed the split and told Us Magazine, "It's sad, but they were fighting a lot because they never saw each other and now she is going on tour. She just needed a clear head. It's been non-stop work for her."

Travis posted the reasons for the split on his blog on New Year’s Eve:

We fight every night, now that’s not kosher
I reminisce with bliss of when we was closer

And wake up to be greeted by an argument again

You act like you’re ten

So immature, I try to concentrate on a cure

And keep lookin’ at the front door

Thinkin’ if I were to evacuate

You’d probably be straighter than straight

And wouldn’t have so much hate

‘Cause you don’t know the pain I feel when I see you smilin’

So I front like everything’s hunky-dory

But it’s a whole different story

Travis McCoy Fights With Fan Over Racial Slur

Travis McCoy, front man for alternative/hip-hop band Gym Class Heroes, was arrested on assault charges last Tuesday in Missouri after hitting an audience member. The group was in Maryland Heights for a stop on Van’s Warped Tour. Travis hit the man with his microphone after the man called him a "f***ing ignorant n***er."

"There were words exchanged, and the artist took offense to something that was said to him," Sgt. Joseph Eagan said. "The complainant alleged that he was struck, and we're waiting for it to go to the prosecuting attorney."

Bob McLynn, Gym Glass Heroes’ manager issued the following statement:
"Somebody in the crowd was taunting Travis with racial slurs. Travis invited him onstage with the intent of calling him out in front of the crowd, with absolutely no intention of a physical altercation," he said. "When he tried to help him onstage, the guy hit Travis in the knee area (which has been in a brace because of a recent sprain), forcing Travis to defend himself. At this point, a scuffle broke out."
"This whole incident is unfortunate," the statement continues. "Travis McCoy and Gym Class Heroes are anything but violent. Their message is about racial unity and having a good time. It's amazing that in 2008, there are still people out there that would say such ignorant things. Travis is deeply upset that this happened, and has expressed his apologies to the band's fans that were at the show, [tour organizer] Kevin Lyman, and the Vans Warped Tour. GCH is putting this behind them and looks forward to seeing everyone on the rest of the tour." Source

Unfortunate is right. Nonviolence is cool and all but that guy should consider himself lucky. Instead of a knock on the head with a mic, Travis could have molly wopped him up and down that stage for his ignoramus statements.

Katy Perry and Travis McCoy Engaged!?

The answer is no. He only reportedly gave her a promise ring.
A little background: For those of you who don’t know Katy Perry is the chick who sings that song “I Kissed a Girl”. Travis McCoy is the front man of Gym Class Heroes.
Anywho, the two have been dating for a while amidst rumors that Katy is gay (duh, the song title…). Travis said that he wanted to give his boo something special. He told People.com, "I went in (to the jewelry store) and said I wanted a ring. The lady behind the counter said 'here's one for $300.' I was like, 'I want a nice ring!' Then I pointed to the big one." When asked if it was an engagement ring, he said, "It's a promise ring... and I have one too!" source
A promise ring? What kinda sad excuse...? Are they like in junior high or something? I bet he gave her his letterman’s jacket and asked her to go steady too. Stupid!
