Dame's Wife Calls it Quits

Designer Rachel Roy has filed for divorce from her husband, mogul Damon Dash after over ten years of marriage.
Dame has been having financial problems in the past year and as a result she’s filing for “nonmonetary relief”. Source
Rachel is probably trying to get out while the gettin’ is good. Translation: before the feds start seizing her assets too.

Dame's Wife Digging Him Out of the Hole

Dame Dash, who has been having financial issues as of late revealed recently that it’s his wife, designer Rachel Roy, is “helping him stay afloat.”
“Rachel is keeping me busy. Selling Rachel’s company to Jones Apparel Group was a big deal [reportedly worth $4 Billion].” Source
That’s the kind of love and support that a committed person makes. I wonder if Dame would do it for her if the tables were turned. Something is telling me no.

Dame Tryin to Stir Up Beef Between Jay and Kanye

Now that his whole world seems to be crumbling around him, Damon Dash, has decided to try and make other people miserable. He’s trying to start ish. He says that Jay-Z, his former friend and business partner, started a fight with Kanye West at a 2003 concert. Supposedly, during the concert, Jay was supposed to ‘knight’ Kanye with a Roc-A-Fella chain but refused.
“This n- [Kanye ] was like, ‘Wow. [Jay-Z] ain’t going to give me the chain,’” Dash alleges in December’s Complex magazine. “I had to take off my chain and give it to him, and I was heated. I had the real canary diamonds. That s- cost $40,000! I told Kanye, ‘Yo, you got to give that back when we get off this stage!’”
Even though he says that “Kanye hated Jay-Z,” Kanye’s rep says that the story is “ridiculous and totally false.” Source

Dame Dash's Son is M.I.A.

Dame Dash has been battling with his 15-year-old son Boogie’s mother Linda Williams in court. The boy hasn’t been seen in weeks and after she ignored the judges orders to bring him to court a warrant has been issued for her arrest. Dame believes she’s holding Boogie hostage. Source
That’s what it looks like to me. They need to go find that boy and lock her crazy butt up.

Dame's Son Being Held Hostage

Damon Dash just can't get a break. In addition to his financial woes he’s also dealing with some crazy baby mama drama. Linda Williams, the mother of his eldest son, Damon “Boogie” Dash, II, isn’t allowing Dame to see him. She’s making all these claims saying that Dame doesn’t have running water in his house, etc. etc., which his lawyer denies. Source
It really irks my nerve when people use their children against each other. You gots issues with me…you take ‘em up with me. But by all means keep the kids out of it.

Another Hard Blow for Dame Dash

First Dame Dash looses his two NY apartments, now word is that he’s lost his rights to the Pro-Keds shoe brand. The Boston Herald reports that Stride Rite has acquired the rights from dame. "It was just a matter of timing,' Stride Rite spokeswoman Debra Fernandes told the paper. "We just wanted a new direction." Supposedly this has nothing to do with any rumors of financial issues. Source Yea right. To bad, so sad. Maybe he can ask Jay-Z for a loan.

Dame Dash Goin Broke

Damon Dash, co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records and his wife, designer Rachel Roy could possibly loose two of their Manhattan apartments after failing to pay the mortgages, The couple owes a total of $7.3 million on the two apartments. However the Eastern Savings Bank, who holds the mortgages, says that the Damon and Rachel have been payin’ the $78,500 mortgage payments. Source
Lord, LORD! That’s a lot of money! I hope these rumors are false cus if they’re not this is yet just another example of black folks not bein able to hold onto some money.

Dame and Rachel Expand Her Brand

Damon Dash and his Wife Rachel Roy have joined forces to create the Jones Apparel Group. This company will develop, marked, and license the fashion brand named after Rachel.
"Both Rachel and her clothing appeal to many audiences around the world, making her a widely renowned design talent," said Dash in a statement. "Through this partnership, we will be able to explore new opportunities for Rachel Roy, the brand."
They want to expand her brand further globally as well as open stand-alone retail stores. Source
Good for them (and by them I mean Rachel). I’ve been a fan of Rachel’s designs since she started. They’re classy, chic, incorporate great colors…but and however my pockets have always been a little too tight to afford it.

Baby Post

Rapper T.I. and his baby mama Tameka "Tiny" Cottle welcomed a son on Friday weighing in at 7lbs 4oz. They’ve named him Major. Source
He is T.I’s fifth child and Tiny’s third. I think…I can’t keep up. Damon Dash and wife Rachel Roy welcomed their second daughter Tallulah Ruth, last Tuesday weighing in at 8 lbs. Dame also has a teenage son Damon Jr. Source
I wonder if a new baby will be enough motivation to keep him home. Lord knows he’s had trouble with that in the past. In any event, children are a blessing. Congrats to the parents.

Dame, Lock it Up!

Dame Dash was spotted at a club in Soho the other night getting raunchy with some random model chicks and rapper Jim Jones. Dame’s wife, Rachel Roy, is an up and coming designer and folks are speculating that he’s jealous of her shine. Let’s also throw in that Rachel is pregnant. Lovely behavior Dame.

A woman named Jamie Robers is claiming that Damon Dash caused her to go loco and is suing him for $30,000. She says that she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia after meeting Dash at a Miami club in March of 2004. She says he went by the name of Jeremy MacIntire and took her to a marina close to the club where he showed her his “genital area” in an “offensive manner” then tried to get her to perform oral sex on him. But, but but, but, wait! It gets worse! She adds that 9 months after the encounter she “began to hear defendant’s voice in her ear, giving her certain directions to follow.” The suit says she discovered McIntyre’s true identity in early 2005 “while watching a taping of the “Dave Chapelle Show.” Source
