Leighton's Big Secret

Leighton Meester of CW hit “Gossip Girl” has a very interesting past. Star magazine has revealed that Leighton was born in prison. Her mother was serving a federal sentence for her role in a drug-running ring in Texas when she was born and she was raised by a relative until her mom got out.
Apparently her dad, granddad, and aunt all served terms for drug dealings. Source
