Master P and Wal-Mart Team Up

Master P has decided to downsize the price of his clothing line and has signed on with Wal-mart to have the mega chain carry his digs. The young men’s clothing line that Percy co-owns with his son Romeo called The Great American Brand, will be the first African-American line that Wal-Mart has supplied.

"I figured out a way to make clothes affordable for inner-city families," said Master P. "We use the same factories and the same materials as Sean John, Rocawear, and Ed Hardy. These are quality clothes you'd normally find at a department store like Macy's. Now you can pick up the same high-end fashion at an affordable price. Kids don't need to worry anymore about being bullied at school for wearing old clothes."

"Likewise, parents don't need to choose between filling up the gas tank or filling up the closet. We're helping families dress fresh for less. Wal-Mart is such a diverse organization, they're making a lot of opportunities available to minority-owned companies that are ready to do business with a big corporation. This is the makings of a great partnership with the number-one retailer in the world. Together we're making it cool to shop for clothes at Wal-Mart."

I think that this is a great idea, but and however, just like Stephon Marbury’s line of affordable (and ugly as sin) sneakers I’m not so sure that the consumers it's targeted at will be lining up to buy it.

Romeo Flexes His Acting Muscles on the Big Screen

Master P and his son Romeo are going to star in a new horror flick called The Pig People.

The Pig People will star Romeo as “TJ,” one of five college students who venture into a haunted forest to shoot a documentary for their film class. The students venture into the woods seeking to debunk an 18th century Louisiana myth surrounding the fearsome, half-human, half-swine “pig people.”
“I’ve never done a horror movie before. It’s a different kind of acting and the challenge is really allowing me to take my game to the next level,” Romeo told AllHipHop.com “We’re gonna make the audience jump out of their seats with this.”
In addition to actor Daeg Faerch (Halloween), Romeo’s father, reformed gangsta rapper Master P., is co-starring in the movie as the film’s villain.The Pig People is being produced by Vault Load Films and directed by David Gueringer and is scheduled to be released in 2009. Source

Lil' Romeo Getting His Own Show

Lil’ Romeo is supposedly going to have a reality show on MTV soon. I hope it’s better than that Omarion/Bow wow show. Blech! Anyways, hopefully this won’t interfere with his studies or his blossoming b-ballin’ career.

Lil' Romeo Gets a B-Ball Scholarship

Lil Romeo will be playing for the University of Southern California Trojans next fall. He said at a press conference:
“This is the most important thing I’ve had to do and hopefully it sends a message to kids across the country that education is more important than money. Getting a college scholarship is more important than winning an American Music Award, and I plan to be the best student-athlete I can be at USC.”
Right now Lil Percy plays for Beverley Hills High and is nationally rated as one of the top 15 point guards. You go boy! Looks like ballin’ is in his blood. Didn’t is daddy, Master P, play for the Hornets or somethin’ like that?
