DMX Working on Baby #9?!

Word is that DMX has another baby on the way. The mother of DMX’s 9th child is supposedly named Yadi, she’s 6 months pregnant, and was staying with DMX at a hotel right after he was released from prison. Source
Sigh…these folks have no consideration for the state of my blood pressure. Let me go find my pills.

DMX Coming to a Pulpit Near You

Our beloved child of god, DMX, has been released from prison and his plans are to appear on a TV show. No, he won’t be on Celebrity Rehab like we thought before. Instead he’ll have his own religious show.
He says, "I'm gonna start a TV show called Pain and Perseverance, it's about how I can reach people that the average person can't reach because I'm grounded."I'm going to give my first sermon in the church. That's going to be incredible for me and hopefully the congregation of that church." Source
Um, Jesus, can I have a quick sidebar with you Lord? (kneels land clasps palms together) Thank you. I’m sure you’ve already instructed your legions of angels to handle this poor lost soul. But just for my own peace mind and heart can you send me down a sign letting me know this won’t actually happen?
(Fire sulfur and doggie treats hail down from the sky…all is right with the world.)
Ahhhhmeeeen!

DMX and Celebreality Join Up

Rapper/resident crazy man, DMX, has a new gig. He’ll be joining the cast of Celebrity Rehab. He’s currently in jail for drug possession, animal cruelty and theft but is set to be released April 30, 2009. When he gets out he’ll have an extra 18months of probation to serve. Source.

I wonder how they’ll work this out. The show is shot in Cali but DMX’s probation would probably limit him to the state of Arizona. Whatever the case is I WILL be watching. Let’s gather around for a prayer circle, shall we?

DMX Put on Lockdown

DMX has been put on lockdown at the Arizona Trent City Jail. He didn’t report for his medication and then threatened to "assault somebody to get some respect." So prison officials put him on lockdown and punished him with a “special diet." Source
Unless his special diet consists of some extra meds I’m pretty confident in saying that it’s probably illegal. What are they feeding him?
Oh dear, I just thought of all the possible things that could be ingested in a prison. Excuse me while I wretch.

Excuses are the Tools of the Weak and Incompetant

Troubled rapper DMX contends that he didn’t mean to commit the identity fraud he’s been convicted of.
He tells XXL magazine, "I wanted him to just get the service immediately... Usually when you say an artist like DMX, everybody is so star-struck they not concentrating on what's going on."
He adds, "(The police) ran up in his (DMX's) crib saying that they was looking for papers from the hospital because he used a false name... It wasn't really that."
Source
Well maybe he can set this all straight when he becomes a reverend once he’s released from the pokey.

DMX to be a Pastor After Jail Term

In an interview with Arizona’s Fox 10, DMX revealed that he was never returning to the state once he is done with his 90 day jail sentence.

"I'm not looking back," X told Fox 10 cameras. "I'm not coming back. I'm not coming back for a show. I'm not coming back for a visit. I'm not even driving through the state. If I'm on a plane and they're flying over it, I'm gonna go around."

The rapper explained that one day, after a night in the studio, he watched the sun rise in Arizona. At that moment, X believed that the state was "God's Country." However, along the way, things took a turn for the worse."I met the devil in God's country (what he thought Arizona to be)," X said. "It's not so much who [was the devil], it's what happens and the things that the devil does. It's not so much a person, even though he acts through people. You can't call any one person the devil. Because no one person has the power to be the devil.""It's through all these hardships that I realized 'You know what? This is God's country because I met the devil here,' " said X. "Because if I hadn't met the devil here, I wouldn't have realized I was strong enough to overcome the obstacles that the devil would place in my path. It's by overcoming these obstacles that I realized that this is God's country because he helped me get over these obstacles.

He helped me get over these hurdles."He’s now discovered his true calling. "It's gotta me closer to my true calling on life, to realizing... to actualizing my true calling on life, which is to be a pastor," said X."I came here to meet somebody," the rapper said. "I don't know who it is, but I came to tell them that Jesus loves them. To tell them about the glory of God."

He is also planning to star in a reality show called "Pain & Perseverance," that he's making while incarcerated. Source

I can’t and I won’. I going to go involve myself in some much needed prayer and meditation. Excuse me.

Warrent Issued for DMX's Arrest

DMX has an arrest warrant out for him after missing a court appearance on Friday (December 5, 2008). HE was supposed to appear in an Arizona court to face drug possession, identity theft and animal cruelty charges. He’ll have to post $120k bail to avoid jail time. His attorney says that as far as he knows DMX, nee Earl Simmons is in rehab in an undisclosed location. Source
You know who I feel the most sorry for in this situation? His lawyer. It’s gotta suck having DMX/Houdini as a client.

TyTy Baby and Rachel Ray

Hosts Tyra Banks and Rachel Ray are teaming up to feed the hungry. They’ll be encouraging fans to bring canned goods that will be donated to City Harvest. Rachel said, "Our country's food pantries are empty, and as Americans we should be ashamed of that, especially as a country with so much wealth. There are epidemic proportions of people going on food stamps. It's literally your neighbor. It could be you," she said. Visit http://www.yum-o.org/ or http://www.tyrashow.com/ to get involved.

Awesome cause ladies! I think the wise sage DMX said it best when he said, “Y’all been eatin’ long enough now. Stop bein’ greedy. Just keep it real partner. Give to the needy. Ribs is touchin’ so don’t make me wait. Fu@k around and I’mma bite you and SNATCH the plate.”

DMX Hospitalized

DMX was hospitalized this Monday (September 22) for health concerns. He was supposed to be in court that day but couldn’t appear because of "fears of a stroke." His lawyer said, "It was serious enough for him to be brought and taken into a treatment facility. He spent the night there last night, and he will probably spend tonight there as well," Cohen told Billboard.com. "I don't think it's going to be an ongoing thing or a life-threatening situation. He's going to be alright."
His court date has now been rescheduled for this Monday (September 29th). Source
Didn’t he pull some stuff like this last time? He was supposed to go to court and he didn’t because he said he had been admitted to a Miami hospital. But it turns out he wasn’t in the hospital at all…he was at Wal-Mart.

His original bail was set at $13,500…now he’s got no bail at all. They’re gonna keep him locked up.
At least he won’t be able to get into anymore trouble. Looks like Jesus finally took the wheel.

Troubled rapper DMX is facing his sixth arrest in 2008 after failing to attend a court hearing in Phoenix, Arizona on Tuesday. The 37-year-old was due to face a felony drug charge, but failed to show, prompting Commissioner Phemonia Miller to issue a bench warrant for his arrest. DMX - real name Earl Simmons - has spent most of the year in and out of custody and court over a series of legal woes. In July, he pleaded not guilty to felony charges of theft and identity theft after he was accused of using a false identity to avoid paying medical bills.
In January, he was arrested for allegedly speeding in Phoenix. In May, he was charged with suspected drug possession and animal cruelty following raids on his Arizona home. A month later, in June, the star was arrested for allegedly attempting to buy drugs from an undercover officer, and in July he was taken into police custody for violating his bail terms relating to a previous driving incident in June. I know it sounds crazy but yes, DMX was arrested again. He was picked up in Phoenix this past weekend (July 19, 2008) for an earlier offense. He admitted that he gave the false information to avoid paying the bill.
"He's back in jail again," Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio told the AP. "I don't know why judges keep letting this guy out. Every time he goes in there, he gets out on bond ... I'm hoping this is the one time he's going to pay the penalty for his offense. Source

DMX in the Clink Again

DMX is Arrested...Again

DMX was arrested again over the dogs he keeps at his house. He was visited by popo in august because of reports of animal neglect. They visited him over the weekend with warrants for seven misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty and four felony drug possession charges. At first he barricaded himself in his bedroom but eventually gave himself up. Source
Throwing him in the clink for hoarding pitts isn’t going to do anything for him. It’s not even about the dogs. It’s about him being so dern crazy. Brother Prayer Circle, er, I mean DMX, really needs to get some help. I’ll call up the Monday Night Prayer Group and some of my pharmacist pals. Between the requests sent to the man upstairs and the seroquel-haldol-prozac cocktail I’m gonna have my homies whip up for him, he’ll be fixed up in no time.

DMX Causes a Riot!

DMX was set to perform at the Lamda Chi Alpha frat house on the campus of Indian University when what’s being described as a riot broke out. DMX arrived late and cops moved in to shut the show down. When they did, the crowd started cursing at the cops causing them to call for back up. The cops maced the entire front row and its' not known if anyone was arrested. Oh, in case you were wondering (and I know you were) Lamda Chi Alpha’s members are predominantly of the lighter persuasion. Source
I think the cops should have left the crowd wrangling to DMX. Brother Earl would have held a prayer circle and offered up a growl filled apology to our lord and savior then baptized those frat boys in his own blood and sweat. GLORY BE GOD! (…passes out on the floor)

God Smiles on Children and Fools

I guess if John Amos can go country DMX can go gospel, right? DMX, who at one point contemplated changing his name to Spiritual Reasons, recently talked to MTV News about going the gospel route with his music. He said,

“I [was] the first n—a to put out two albums in one year [It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot and Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood in 1998], now I’m gonna hit ‘em again — drop two albums on the same f—in’ day, yo,” X said from his home in Arizona on Friday. “A double album will make mutha—-as mad [not saved?], because they gotta spend more money — plus it’s already a long [double] album. I’m talking about a hip-hop album and a gospel album.”
Combined, the project will be called Walk With Me Now and You’ll Fly With Me Later. The Walk With Me Now portion will be dedicated to straight-up, raw raps, while the latter will feature his non-secular undertaking. As for the gospel album, X noted that the lyrics will be “without cursing — how ’bout that one? No songs about b—-es, no songs about robbing, just straight ‘Give God the glory.’ ” Source

You know, when people feel a need to praise god, regardless of what god they praise, or how they choose to do it, I’m usually down. To each his own right?
But Imma give you three “Spiritual Reasons” why this nonsense is not ok:
1. Just because he don’t curse in the gospel album he’ll be talking about merkin' niggas and bustin' up in bitches in the other album…as he has in all his albums, ergo, the albums will cancel each other out.…so um, No!
2. And if he doesn’t curse what else is he going to do? Bark? Do he even know any non-expletives?
3. The opening scene of Belly. My uterus is still in therapy because of that scene. Nuff said.
The devil lives in you my son. Give God the glory.
