Robin Thicke Readies for 4th Album

Robin Thicke is hard at work on his 4th album. He’s been working with several producers in hopes of having his album ready for release by this fall.
“I always wanted to be like Prince and write and produce myself. This time I’m not trying to take all the credit…and work with a lot of the best producers in the business. So my sound is going to be a lot different than anything I’ve ever done before. The sound I’m getting is brand new for me. It’s great.” Source
Robin, I really need you to step it up. This latest album was a little boring. I’m gonna need some more umph from you. Please and thank you!

There’s no way that this spandex tragedy doesn’t smell like flounder…no way.
I know this was for a costume party but I still find this upsetting. Madge! You’re 87! Put on some GD pants! How many shades of black can one wear without looking ridiculous.BOOTY! BOOTY! BOOTY! BOOTY! ROCKIN’ EVERYWHERE!
As aforementioned I don’t think spandex or jumpsuits are a good look. But and however, if you’re trunk is packed like this, then both spandex AND jumpsuits are encouraged.

Robin Thicke Post

Singer Robin Thicke talks about racism:

“Anytime you’re sticking out like a sore thumb, you can get one of two things: Maybe you get coverage because you stick out like a sore thumb and maybe because you’re the sore thumb no one wants to touch. So I do find that doors are closed because the color of my skin, but doors are also open because of the color of my skin. And doors are closed on a lot of other people, and I’m definitely not the victim in this society, that’s for sure”.

He adds:

“She(wife Paula Patton) being African-American gets one script out of every 10 that a white girl would get because they just aren’t the roles, they’re just not looking for a black actress in this role. It’s not like for every role they say, ”We want the best,” (it’s more like), ”No, we want a white girl. We’re sure of that.” So she has to deal with that a lot. And when you live with somebody you see that world in a different way than I would have ever seen. I think with Barack Obama running for president we’re learning very quickly that race is still at the forefront of people’s minds. Nowadays, just because they changed the laws doesn’t mean they changed the whispers. Nowadays, racism is in the whispering and it’s in the connotations”.

Robin Talks About Rihanna to "Vibe"

Here’s a quote that Robin Thicke made about Rihanna to Vibe magazine recently:

Vibe: You play instruments, you sing live. What’s your reaction to the artists out there, who don’t sing live—who are more of a product?

Robin: They are entertainers. There are people who are about precision and entertainment; there are people who are about emoting and expressing. Sometimes they are people who do both, but I think there is room for everybody. I want to watch Rihanna sing her songs—I don’t care! [Laughs] I want to watch and I want to listen. She ain’t got to sound like Mary J. all the time. Who does? The point is as media and critics you want to say that shouldn’t be out there, but as fans you want more music, you want more options. As a fan, I should be promoting all music coming out so I get a choice of what I want to buy.
I see, hmm. Well all I have to say is, “Miss Paula Patton, GET YOUR MAN!”

Robin Thicke Pulls the Race Card with Vibe

In a recent Billboard magazine, Singer Robin Thicke talks about race and racism:

When I did a recent interview with Vibe magazine I asked, “Why can’t I get the cover? This is a magazine I love. If there’s one magazine that I’d want to be on the cover of, it’s Vibe.” Their response was they don’t have white artists on the cover; that the only white artist they’ve had on the cover was Eminem. I guess if that’s what it is, it is what it is. And I respect that because I live in a house with a black woman.
I won’t use the word “racism.” I will say it’s a tough — but rewarding — fight. I look at Mary J. Blige, somebody who has had only a few pop hits and yet has changed culture, generated new sounds and inspired leagues of artists. She’s now a worldwide phenomenon. And it’s because of what she stood for; she never gave up. She kept making great music, pouring her heart out to people.
You can’t always expect people to be as color-blind or open-minded as you want. What you can do is keep giving your heart and soul, like Bob Marley did. His music became so overwhelmingly loving; it was a relentless love in a sense. Keep beating them down with love and they can’t stop you. Source

That sounded like yayo induced ramble. J/K Robin! I love you honey, just keep truckin’.

Robin and Rihanna GQ Spread

Robin Thicke and Rihanna recently shot a spread for GQ Magazine wherein they both talk about their successful year. I wonder what his wife Paula Patton thinks about the pics. Alls I gotta say is:
