Prince Embroiled in court Case

Prince left his last apartment without getting his deposit back. He was renting an LA apartment for $150,000 a month and didn’t get his $300,000 security bond back. So 3121 Rep Inc., the company that brokered the lease, is suing the home owners for the security.

Prince Seduces Salma with new Song

Prince tries to lure Mexican hottie Salma Hayek in a new song on his album MPLSoUND. In the song’s chorus he sings, "Hey, Valentina, tell your mama she should give me a call/ When she gets tired of running after you down the hall." Source

That sounds highly inappropriate. I wonder if the elders have heard his album.

Prince Teams up with Jay Leno

Prince has plans on appearing on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno for four nights (Marche 25-27, 29) to promote his new albums and to help say good bye to jay.
Prince, in an email message sent to fans, writes, "From the 24th on, there will b a slew of NPG-related events happening around electric LAlaland.. we don't want 2 give away all the details yet, but b prepared 2 get yo groove on, numerous ways 4 numerous days." Source

Prince Case Has been Pending for Over a Decade

Prince has a case pending against him in Italy that has apparently been going on for ten years.
Bruno Bergonzi and Michele Vicino claim that Prince’s “The Most Beautiful Girl in the World” was stolen from them.
“Our song was first released in 1983, at the height of the Italian dance boom and it appeared on assorted compilations that were distributed internationally,” Bergonzi tells Billboard.com. “When we first heard Prince’s song we immediately took action, but this case has been dragging on for 15 years and it isn’t over yet, such is the slowness of the Italian legal system. We only decided to go public with our story now.” Source
I couldn’t find lyrics to their song anywhere but I’m willing to launch my own personal investigation. I used to really love Prince but in recent years he’s gotten under my skin.

Prince to Release 3 Albums in '09

Prince is set to release three new albums in 2009.
He’ll be doing it without a label and through an internet website because he says, “The gatekeepers have to change.” The albums will be named MPLSOUND (electronica), Lotus flower (a tribute to the electric guitar) and Elixir (sexy and mellow). The last one will feature his protégé Bria Valente. Of that album, Prince says, "We got sick of waiting for Sade to make a new album. This music is nasty, but it's not dirty. There's no profanity. It isn't promoting promiscuity. [Valente is] singing about her lover, who could be her partner for life." Source
I wonder if creating these albums will cut into his door-to-door witnessing. Someone call the elders and tell them one’s on the loose.

Prince Talks Politics and Gay Marriage

Prince, who became a Jehovah’s Witness back in 2000, recently spoke about his religious views, politics, and social issues like gay marriage and abortion.
“So here’s how it is: you’ve got the Republicans, and basically they want to live according to this.” He pointed to a Bible. “But there’s the problem of interpretation, and you’ve got some churches, some people, basically doing things and saying it comes from here, but it doesn’t. And then on the opposite end of the spectrum you’ve got blue, you’ve got the Democrats, and they’re, like, ‘You can do whatever you want.’ Gay marriage, whatever. But neither of them is right.” Source
Sorry Prince but I your message gets a little lost behind all that eyeliner you’re wearing. Wipe it off and maybe we can hear you.

Rihanna's 'Mortified' Fans Mistake Her for Prince

Star Magazine is reporting that Rihanna’s short cut has fans mistaking her for Prince. Supposedly she was referred to as the “purple one” by a crowd of fans.
“Some fans screamed out ‘Prince’ when they saw her,” one witness whispers. “But when they got close enough to ask for an autograph, they realized he was she.”“She didn’t know what to say.” Source
Hey, they’re both the same complexion, with the same hair and like to wear sexy, feminine clothes. Don’t be upset Rih-Rih. Prince is actually a pretty man. At least they’re not mistaking you for Craig Mack of Shabba Ranks. Then and only then, can you be mortified.

Ne-Yo is Purifying Himself in Lake Minnetonka

Ne-Yo has discussed starring as ‘The Kid’ in a remake of Purple Rain.
“[I’m] still reading over scripts trying to figure out what’s gonna be the next move. Fox Atomic has another movie in development right now for me that’s kind of going to be along of the lines of a current-day Purple Rain… Like me playing the role of Prince, and then I don’t know who they’re getting for the other roles. But the script is being written for me right now.” Source

This is sacrilegious and I just won't stand for it. If this tomfoolery is allowed to happen I swear on James Brown's sweet bedazzled grave (god rest his soul) that I'll go on a hunger strike. And y'all KNOW how much I loves to eat!

Prince Needs Some New Parts

The purple one is startin' to show his age. He may be in need of a hip replacement according to a source. "He used to wear high-heeled boots every day and doctors told him that may have contributed to his condition. Over the years he has battered his body so much that his joints, especially his hips, are causing him a lot of discomfort." The singer has been told that only a full hip replacement will alleviate the pain and ensure he can keep dancing. Source
That’s unfortunate, but not particularly surprising. I mean he’s been doin' splits, runnin' around in high heels and poppin it like a rubber band for damn near 50 years. Set your old ass down somewheres!
