MJ Adds $1 Millon Worth of Crystals to His Tour

MJ’s tour is becoming more and more grand. The latest embellishment is 300,000 Swarovski crystals added to his costumes and stage.
Nadja Swarovski, Vice President of Swarovski Crystal Business, commented: "As the King of Pop it is only natural for him to be crowned in crystal."
President of AEG Live Randy Phillips said: "Since we originally put tickets on sale prior to designing the stage show, we were quite conservative with the arena seating in order to accommodate the size of this technologically advanced production.
"Now that Michael and Kenny are very advanced in the creative process we are able to offer more tickets to the general public." Source
Oh razzle dazzle! Behave!

MJ Wants Kiddies to Tour With Him

Uncle Wacko will reportedly be backed up by a children’s choir during his UK tour. He asked that there be equal numbers of black, white, mixed-race and Asian children ages 5 to 13. They must know sign language. He also wants 6 snare drummers of mixed ethnicity and no facial hair. Source
I was going to let this slide until I got to ‘no facial hair.’ This guy just can’t help himself.

Lauryn Hill Cancels Summer Tour

Lauryn Hill was scheduled to tour this summer in Sweden, Greece, The Netherlands, Austria, France Switzerland, Poland, Italy, and Germany. However she’s cancelled her tour due to health concerns.
Source
I pray that “health concerns” isn’t code speak for her being pregnant again because if that’s the case I’mma have to quit life. My heart can’t take it.

Lip Syncing on MJ's New Tour?

Akon is flappin his gums about Wacko’s upcoming concert. He insists that MJ won’t be singing live.
He says, “Michael singing I’m not so sure about. He will perform but not sing.”However, he adds: “It’s going to be amazing, I can definitely tell you that. I’m going to have front row tickets. I will have the best tickets in the house and will be so close to the stage you will think that I am on it.” Source
Lol, I mean, I didn’t really expect him to be singing ANYTHING. He’s over 50, and a breath away from a dirt nap. It’s singing OR dancing. Not both. Actually, either could take him out. He should probably lay on a gurney outfitted with speakers that blast his hits to the audience.

MJ's Tour Might Not Happen

MJ has been working hard for his comeback/farewell tour in London this summer, but there may be a snag in his plans. A NJ based promoter, AllGood Entertainment Inc. claims they have a signed contract that will prevent him from performing until july 2010.

According to the agreement he cant give a concert until the Jackson Family reunion show that AllGood has put together.

They’ve sent out a cease and desist order to MJ’s lawyer Frank DiLeo to stop his 50 shows in London this summer.

AEG, the promoters of the London shows, contend that AllGood’s claims are meaningless and will go on with their preparation as planned.

"As of right now, we've gotten zero cooperation from anyone, Frank DiLeo refuses to honor our agreement and that's why we're filing a lawsuit by week's end," Patrick Allocco, a partner at AllGood said. Source

MJ’s London shows would definitely overshadow the Reunion show so I hope his lawyers can do some fancy footwork cus a lot of money is tied up in this comeback.

Solange to Open for Wacko?

According to a little birdie, Solo’s got a brand new exciting gig. She’ll supposedly be opening up for Michael Jackson for his Euro farewell tour.
According to sources she’s renewed her passport and is in the final stages of negotiations for the gig. Source
I’m both excited and confused. How’d the Beyonce machine allow Solo to get away with this one?

Bey's Tour isn't Selling Like Hotcakes

Supposedly Beyonce’s upcoming “I Am..” tour isn’t selling as expected. Several tickets are still available for almost every single date, including ones in New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and many more.

“They were hoping to add multiple dates to the tour and it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen.” An extra date was added in NYC but low ticket sales in Chicago and other cities have forced the plans for multiple dates down. Source

HA! Just kidding. I mean she’s gonna rake in some dough anyway so she should be straight.

Rih-Rih Joins Empowerment Tour

Now that Rihanna is getting back to work, she’s decided to join a female empowerment tour in the US this fall. “Rihanna wants strong women to join her,” a source says. “This is a ‘women empowerment’ type of tour.”

So far Ciara and Keyshia Cole have signed on for the tour. Source

Sounds like a good look to me. I’d buy tix.

MJ Has to Beef Up Before Tour

Uncle Wacko has been told he needs to gain some weight before he starts his farewell tour.
An insider told The Mirror: "Docs are worried he won't have the strength to perform. He's been told to drink protein drinks called Metric to beef up." Source
He’s been frail for a few years now. It would be nice to see him looking a little healthier. Now if we could only get him to look a little blacker.

MJ=Animal Lover

Word is that MJ has added an elephant to his new show. He’ll be riding an elephant on stage while performing his farewell tour in London.
"He hopes to make it the most spectacular gig ever. For the jungle section, he wants to ride out on an African elephant with panthers led on gold chains. Parrots and other birds will fly behind him. If it goes to plan it will look incredible," explained a source. Source
Is this really surprising? I mean the man had a zoo and an amusement park at his house. Britney has nothing on the original ringmaster.

MJ's Rider

Uncle Wacko’s rider for his peace out tour is a little weird…go figure. He wants:
-4 hair dryers
-24 hand towels
-10 clothing rails
-raspberry scented candles
-a nail brush
“Some bands demand never-ending supplies of exotic foods, designer booze and the most expensive luxuries that money can buy.
“Michael’s rider isn’t just modest by industry standards - it’s downright weird.
“Who needs four hair driers? Who needs 24 hand towels? And who’d bother to add a fifty-cent nail brush to the list?” Source
Look, his list may be weird but at least it’s not exhorbitant. He coulda asked for a whole lot more. Plus, now that I think of it, that list may be weird if one of us made it. But it’s really tame for a toddler tickling monkey owner who sleeps in an oxygen tank and dangles babies from balconies.

MJ, how about you get yourself better before touring the world. I advise hanging out in your oxygen tank while bubbles rubs you with salve.

Brit Needs Some Magic

Britney has hired a magician named Ed Alonzo to work on her upcoming concerts.
Alonzo tells In Touch Weekly, "She’ll be singing, dancing and doing illusions at the same time." Meanwhile, the singer has been rehearsing eight hours a day, often in a string bikini, to perfect her dance moves with Indian choreographer Rujuta. He says, "Britney is a perfectionist." Source
Wow she’s really going all out. This should be, er, interesting.
