Diddy Searches for the Next Star...Again

Sean “Beady Eyes and Unfortunate Teeth” Combs has joined forces with producer Mark Burnett to create an MTV reality series called StarMaker. The contestants will be solo artists who live together and compete in challenges for the chance to be a super star.
Poppa Diddy Pop is excited to work with Burnett: "It’s a privilege to partner with Mark Burnett on my latest television venture," said Combs who labeled Burnett as "one of the industry’s best." "I am confident that we will do great things together with StarMaker and beyond."
Burnett feels the series will serve as a vehicle for the "tremendous amount of talent out there just waiting to be discovered."
"We've created a platform that will allow new and emerging artists a chance to showcase their talents to some of the industry’s best," he added.

Eh, I’m so sick of these stupid talent competitions. Every once in a while you’ll actually get some true talent like a Leona Lewis but most of it is just a bunch of ‘pretty’/’sexy’/untalented people coming out on top. These shows pale in comparison to Star Search and The Apollo. Now those were REAL talent competitions. One of my favorite products of those shows is Sam Harris. Check him out singing ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ at the Apollo. I swear he must have been raised by a black transvestite nanny.
