Wendy Williams Says Goodbye to Radio

Now that Wendy Williams has her own daytime talk show in Fox, she’s decided to leave radio after 20 years in the biz.
“I want to tell all of my fans that after July 31st, I will no longer be doing a show with WBLS,” she said. “I really was blessed to have a broadcast home in NY on radio for the past 7 years, and I want to thank everyone who supported me. I have one of the best jobs in the world. Making a difference in the lives of my fans made all the difference to me, and I look forward to doing the same thing in my new role as a TV host. My hope is that you will do your best to find me on your remote so I can continue to entertain and inform you each and every day.” Source
I can honestly say that I I’m happy for Auntie Wendy. I hope the general American public responds to her like the tri-state area has. Good Luck Wendy!

Amber's Got a Job

Amber Rose has found a way to turn her relationship with Kanye into a modeling career.
Amber, who used to be a stripper blogged about her recent success on GlobalGrind.com.
Today was a good day.
A few weeks ago, I told Uncle Russ that I do not want to "waste my celebrity," as my celebrity is a gift to me, my family and the world ... not only for me to get ahead, but for others as well. So, I am happy to announce that I have officially signed to the Ford Agency and I am moving to NY to pursue my modeling and acting careers! I am going to be taking acting classes in NY and will pursue the dreams that I have had my entire life. Today, I feel really blessed. I can actually look @ this contract and know that I have made some progress. Proof that when you work hard, good things do happen. I know it is just a piece of paper, but to me that contract represents millions of opportunities that are now before me. Again, it is not just to help me, but so I can make a greater impact around the world. The world is only what you make it…so when you have great opportunities, use them and make your dreams come true!

MJ to Open a Thriller Casino

MJ may be performing in his farewell tour this summer but this isn’t the last we’ll see of him. He’s reportedly opening up a “Thriller” themed casino. He hopes that the zombie filled casino may help his nonexistent cash flow problem. Source
This is either a big mistake or the most awesome idea ever. Can you imagine if folks broke into random dance numbers all over the casino? Genius!

Rocawear is Heading to China

Jay-Z is expanding his Rocawear brand by taking it to China. Though he sold rights to Rocawear to Iconix Brand Group, he still has a stake in the company as well as overseeing the development and marketing of it. He signed a deal with Bosideng International Holdings to produce Rocawear products and distribute them throughout China.
Jay-Z says in a statement, "When Iconix purchased the Rocawear trademark two years ago, Neil Cole (Iconix founder) and I made a commitment to building Rocawear into a global lifestyle brand. "Our expansion into China is a validation of our joint efforts to bring an authentic interpretation of American fashion to young people around the world." Source
He’s proven to be quite a shrewd businessman. I hope this venture proves to be as lucrative as his others.

Shaquille O’Neal wants to get his sportscaster game up. So he’s sighed up for a college course at Syracuse to help him perfect his on-camera skills.
He says, "After basketball, I'd love to have my own radio show, my own TV show." Source
Well he’s already been a basketball star, a rapper, and even a rent-a-cop. Why not get his own show? Everyone else has one.

Danger Gets Her Own Show...Radio Show

Ray J of Love nut case, Danger, hoasted the Majestic Group party at Pangea in Hollywood his past week and was talking about some new ventures. She spread the news that she would be getting her own reality show and will also be pursuing “producing, acting and modeling.”

She also talked about Ray J’s sex game during a recent interview saying:

“Ray J’s sex game is like a Happy Meal WITHOUT the Toy.” Source

That’s, er, unfortunate. It’s interesting how she’s saying this now, when she was on the show acting like he was God’s gift.

Bey wants to Be a Broadway Baby...Then Have Some Babies

Beyonce wants to tackle Broadway and motherhood next.

“It’s my ideal job. I’ll be able to go to the theater every day and drop my kids off and maybe make some food — maybe I’ll know how to cook by then — and then go do what I love and have some normalcy and have a regular schedule. I definitely want to do Broadway.” Source

Kanye Begs Nike for Sportswear Line

Kanye is real desperate for Nike to give him the opportunity to designing a sportswear line for them.

“I’m going to keep coming up with ideas, but I do want to state in black and white that somebody needs to give me a f**king chance. Don’t just one-off me! If Nike gave me the opportunity to be in there creating - not that they don’t already have genius designers like Hiroshi (Fujiwara) - I’m not saying that I think I’m the best designer in the world, but what I’m saying is that I think I can become that.” Source

T.I.’s baby mama/fiancée Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, has opened up a new nail salon in Stockbridge. Tiny’s Nail Bar features manicures, pedicures, massages, body wraps and spray tanning, as well as complimentary health drinks and juices.
“I’m very picky about my nails and hair, so I’m going to make sure that I do my best to deliver top-notch customer service,” Tiny tells Essence.

Jada and Will opened the New Village Leadership Academy last fall for kids K-6 and Jada wants to open up a companion high school. The couple got a lot of flack for the school that uses teaching methods developed by Scienotology founder L. Ron Hubbard. Source

MJ's Bro to Build a Slavery Theme Park

Supposedly Marlon Jackson and other investors are building a slavery theme park. They’re building The Badagry Historical Resort in Nigeria. The resort will include a museum, memorial, theme park, golf course, casino, Jackson museum, holograms of the Jackson 5 and a repical of a slave ship.
The description says, "Visitors will be able to explore the site of the former transatlantic slave trade, honor the hundreds of thousands who died in what were horrific human rights abuses, and then head off for a round of golf or a massage, before gawping at animatronic versions of the siblings who sang ABC and I Want You Back."
One Nigerian historian said, "It is not appropriate from a cultural or historical point of view." Source
UM! WTF?! I don’t even know what to do with this information. Like will this feature a Song of the South ride? Do you get to have your picture taken on the auction block? Does the guy at the Dip ‘N Dots stand wear a burlap sack and chains? This is wrong on so many levels.

Vivica Denies Being Your Psychic Friend

Vivica is mad about that video of her endorsing the Psychic Friends Network and wants it to be pulled down.
She sent a statement to BV Buzz saying:
“Vivica A. Fox is no friend of The Psychic Friends Network.” Fox is alleging that the footage circulating online “is using her unauthorized likeness, footage, voice and photographs as an endorsement of their service.”
She also demands that they "cease and desist immediately" their use of anything that looks or sounds like her. Source
I wanna know how you gonna film an ENTIRE commercial promoting something then deny having anything to do with it. Hind sight is a mofo, eh?

50's BM Deal Falls Through

50 Cent had been in plans to launch his own GM Pontiac G8. But due to the down shift in the economy, GM has announced that they won’t be producing the turc any longer.
Jim Hopson, a rep for Pontiac said the deal ended as part of the firm's restructuring plan and long-term "vision for Pontiac." Source
Dang, he looses a bunch in the stock market, his show gets cancelled, now this. Not a good year for 50, eh?

Apple and Hyundai are launching a new car called The Digital Genesis. The car will be unveiled across the US and feature music from rapper T-Pain. The car will come equipped with the following:
Two Mac minis
A Macbook Air
An iPod Touch
An iPhone
Two wireless keyboards that slide out of the rear of the front seats.
The starting price is around $30,000. Source
