Updates 33-37: Chris Brown Arrested

Update 33:
Chris is reportedly taking anger management classes.
According to a source, Brown opted for anger management at the urging of his spin doctor, Michael Sitrick. “Chris doesn’t actually have to go by law,” our insider tells us, “but he believes it will make him look better to the public, and he wants to try to get in a few classes before March 5,” his court date.
A source says that Rihanna should be in therapy too because she’s known to fly off the handle.
But insiders are rumbling that Chris shouldn’t be taking the anger management classes alone. “Rihanna is temperamental, too,” says the source. “They’re both too hot-headed for their own good.”
Adds another source: “It didn’t help that Rihanna grabbed the keys out of his rented Lamborghini and threw them down the street. She knew it would really infuriate Chris, and it worked.” Source

Update 34: Star is reporting that prior to the “incident” Rihanna found out that she was pregnant with CB’s baby. She supposedly went to an ob-gyn at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center dressed in black and looking nervous.
“She was extremely fidgety. She seemed totally uncomfortable,” an eyewitness at the doctor’s office tells Star.
“She was scared he would react badly,” says an insider. She didn’t get a cance to tell Chris before the…“incident.” Source
I don’t believe this poppy cock.

Update 35:
Rihanna has finally spoken out via her publicist.
“At the request of the authorities, Rihanna is not commenting about the incident involving Chris Brown. She wants to assure her fans that she remains strong, is doing well, and deeply appreciates the outpouring of support she has received during this difficult time.” Source
So she commented to say she’s not saying anything. I guess she doesn’t have to say too much cus that picture really spoke volumes. But I think folks still want to hear the full story. Agreed?

Update 36:
In Touch is saying that Rih has yet to file charges against C-Breezy.
“We do not have enough evidence and there have been no charges filed on the Chris Brown case,” a spokesperson in the Los Angeles DA’s office tells In Touch. But Chris is not necessarily out of hot water, even if Rihanna never files charges. “If the state gathers up enough evidence, we will press charges with or without her testifying. It is not up to the victim.” With a March 5 arraignment date set in LA for Chris, 19, In Touch has also learned that Rihanna does not have to make an appearance at the courthouse. “She will not have to show up during the arraignment,” the spokesperson says. If he really lumped her up (as it looks like he did) than she’s got a small window to make sure he’s prosecuted. Then again, he’s been prosecuted in the court of public opinion so that might just be enough.

Update 37:
The Insider has released pics of Rihanna sunning it up in Mexico. Although initial reports had her in Barbados, it’s believed that she left the Barbados after a few days and has spent the majority of her time recouping in Mexico.

Update 3: Pavilion Apartments Review: DON’T MOVE THERE!

Let’s have a little chat about how unprofessional the staff is. I’ll start by saying that there is one, count it, one person in the leasing office whom, for the majority of the time I’ve lived there, has not only been professional, but dare I say it, likable. The times that I’ve gotten this leasing agent on the phone, they always make sure that things get done. But and however, I don’t always get them on the phone. I’d post their name because I’m praising them right now. But and however, a recent conversation threw all that professionalism right out the damn window so I’ll refrain from putting their name. Anywho, the times that I’ve spoken to others in the office about maintenance issues it has taken several calls from me on the same issues before actually having someone fix the problem.
In fact, on one particular occasion, after being told that my tub had been fixed while I was away on vacation (for over a week), I returned to find it still full of the same amount of water as when I left it. I went directly to the leasing office and asked one of the agents to send a maintenance man over because I needed my tub snaked. They said, “You mean plunged?” I said, “No, I mean snaked. I tried plunging it and it didn’t work. I’ve been dealing with the same tub issues for a few years now. I know it just needs to be snaked.” This fool proceeds to say to me, “What are you? A plumber?” It took all my strength to not jump up on that desk like a chimp on the loose and tear that place up. I said, “Just send someone.” When maintenance finally showed up, two calls, one visit, and two days later, he had a plunger in his hand. I let him work up a sweat for 15 minutes trying to plunge the tub before suggesting he snake it.
Back to my ‘favorite’ leasing agent. When they first called to inform me that March’s rent would be taken out of my deposit I could tell that this was news they obviously didn’t want to share. I get it…I’m not going to kill the messenger. I did however express my displeasure with the news about my deposit and posed some additional questions/concerns to the ones that were in my letter.
They told me that they would speak to the manager, and get back to me. I called a total of 4 more times over the course of a week and a half attempting to speak to the agent, or anyone for that matter, and have my questions and concerns addressed. I was told I would get a call back and didn’t receive one and on three occasions I was put on hold and the call disconnected.
Finally, after getting through, I was told by the agent that there was nothing they could do. I made a point to voice my concerns again. I wanted it on record with the leasing office and corporate that I was extremely displeased with their service and I would continue to dispute the deduction. At this point the agent said, “That’s not my problem. That has nothing to do with me!” I had to remind them (for the umpteenth time since starting the conversation) that this wasn’t personal but since they were a representative of the building, and I haven’t been given any other contacts to speak to, I was going to voice my issues with them.
“I’m gonna put you on with the manager cus I don’t like this! I don’t like this at all!”
Lo thinks to self: Good, cus that’s what I wanted all along anyway.
The manager gets on the phone and just says hello…no introduction. So I ask for their name. They reluctantly give it with a snide, defensive tone. Then immediately say, “Listen, this really isn’t my problem. It has nothing to do with me. You’re no threat to me.”
Seriously?!!!! Don’t these simpletons realize that I don’t have issue with them? Well I do, but my anger wasn’t and isn’t directed at them personally.
Anyway, I continued in my ‘work’ voice for the remainder of the conversation even though every inch of my being to not give them the tongue lashing of their lives. In the end I made sure to get out ALL of my grievances.
Yesterday I called the office again to get the contact info for the corporate office. I was diredcted to a leasing agent who, before giving me the info, asked me if I put a sign on my door on Saturday telling people not to move there. I wasn’t even in town on Saturday. And really, if I’m gonna warn people away I’ll do it in a much bigger way, say by posting several scathing blogs about it.
When she gave me the info I spoke to the property manager about my issues (she’s investigating) and I penned an official letter to be sent to corporate.
Really all I want to come from this is that I get back a fair amount of my deposit and that the other people who are left to live in this wretched place are treated better.

K-Fed Working on Kid's Fashion Line

K-Fed is trying to make a few buck by peddling kids clothes. He’s developing a clothing line for children.
He said, "It’s a really tough business, I’m trying to take it seriously and make a quality product for kids but not have parents pay like $500 or something ridiculous for a pair of jeans" because no one in their right mind would pay more than clearance sale prices for a pair of Fed-Ex.

J-Lo's Twins Celebrate Their First B-Day

J-Lo and Marc celebrated the birthdays of their 1-year-old twins with a big birthday party. Several guests, who included Nicole Richie, Joel Madden and their daughter Harlow arrived with a bevy of gifts.
The backyard was decorated with metallic silver balloons and a blue-and-red color theme. Two moonbouncers, a clown and upbeat music were also set up in the backyard. Source

LaLa to Join "Charm School"

MTV’s LaLa, will be a part of the third season of VH1’s “Charm School”. She’ll be on a panel with headmistress Ricki Lack and Loveline host Stryker. They’ll be trying to clean up the girls of “Rock of Love Bus” and “Real Chance of Love”
LaLa says:
“Before I began this journey with the girls I was a little skeptic on how much they really wanted to make a change but after spending time with all these young ladies and getting to know each and every one of them, I really believe that this show has helped them all.”
The show will be entitled “Charm School Gives Back” and will begin airing this summer. Source

Eartha Kitt Shunned by the Oscars?

Andrew Freedman, former publicist to the late, great Eartha Kitt is upset that she was excluded from this year’s Oscar tribute to stars who had passed away. Eartha died on Christmas after battling colon cancer.
He tells the New York Post, "The producers are either 12 or have been living under a rock for the past 60 years. It's clear that they thought that publicist Warren Cowan was more of a household name. Go figure." Source
Brewer insists that he saw her in the tribute but I totally don’t remember it. I’m currently looking for a clip that shows the full segment because Eartha was an American treasure. I only hope to be as sexy an sassy as she was when I get to be 81 years old.

Ray J Reject Speaks Out

Giana “Stilts” Taylor, of “For the Love of Ray J” fame is speaking out about her experience on the show, her past, rumors of another contestant being pregnant by Ray J and getting down and dirty with Ray herself.
When I asked did she believe Danger was really pregnant she replied:
This is all new to me because when I was in the house, Danger was always in his room. We’d be walking down the hallway and she’d be always coming out of his room. Sometimes she wouldn’t even knock, she’d just walk in so we assumed she was a paid actress and it was a set up. Now this whole pregnant by Ray J thing comes up and I think it’s a publicity stunt. She wrote a blog on myspace beforehand saying she was engaged [to Nick Cannon's brother] and with child..now all of a sudden she sells her story to the National Inquirer and says she’s pregnant by Ray J. Now, you are playing with Ray J’s image because people are wondering if he’s that retarded to have sex with this chick unprotected.
She was eliminated because she was married but she says the producers knew this from the beginning.
“I kept it real from the beginning. I always said I was married. It was on my paperwork. I said I was married but separated because I didn’t want it to be something that they found out later on. So they knew already. I just felt like they chose me because it would be an easy elimination. I’m not going to get a divorce. I’m happily married. When I casted for it I said “babe, if VH1 calls you, you have to tell them that we are separated. That’s the only way I can get on the show”.
What would have happened if you had to become intimate with Ray J?
“It wouldn’t have happened. I wasn’t going to overstep my boundaries. I knew my boundaries before going on the show…

Aubrey Wants to Kiss and Make Up

Aubrey O’Day is making it clear that she would never say no to a Danity Kane reunion.
"Danity Kane was a wonderful group, and like all things, nothing is forever. We had a great run and we were very successful," she said. "We may not have that answer for our fans, which is disappointing, but we did try, and that's more than a lot of people."
"I have so much respect for that situation, if there was ever interest in me coming back.” Source

Balfour's Lawyer Bails

Joshua Kutnick, the lawyer who’s been representing Willam Balfour, the man accused of killing three of Jennifer Hudson’s family members, has bailed out of the case.
He thinks he’s innocent but can’t financially support a case of this magnitude on his own.
"It's the kind of case that involves intense hours," Kutnick told reporters after speaking with Balfour's mother. "I was gathering all the resources, but I couldn't finance it." Source
And there goes another nail in Billy’s coffin.

The Wiz is Back!

Word is that the black version of The Wizard of Oz, The Wiz, is returning to Broadway this summer.
It’ll have a run from June 12th through July 3rd and no one has been cast yet for any parts. Source

Actress Rosario Dawson revealed that her mom would punish her by licking her.

Here’s a vid of the guy who got the opportunity to ask the final answer during a town hall meeting that Obama did in Fort Myers, Fla. Julio Osegueda is a McDonald’s worker who wanted to know how minimum wage workers could get better pay and benefits for tenure. As a result of his mini fame he was able to garner a one day job announcing for the Fort myers Miracle baseball team’s radio broadcast. Peet the vid…this guy’s hilarious. Source

White House Rules…

It doesn’t matter that dad is the leader of the free world. Sasha and Malia Obama still have rules and chores like most little girls.
They clear their own dishes and make their own beds to show them responsibility. Michelle hs even told the staff to not do too much for them.
"People want to make your life easy, and when you have small kids – I've explained this to the staff – they don't need their lives to be easy. They're kids," she says.They can roam the White House as they please though.
"I've tried to encourage them to feel like this whole place is their home," Mrs. Obama tells PEOPLE. "We actually had this conversation – just let us know where you're going." Source

Michael Jordan Buys Love Nest with New Girlfriend

Michael Jordan has purchased a home with his girlfriend, model Yvette Prieto. The two will be living in a modest 5,500 sq. ft., three bedroom house. Did they pay in full for cash? No. They took out a thirty year mortgage and will be paying the remaining $196K on the $280K home.
Supposedly the purchase is to help Yvette rebuild her credit. When asked about it she said, “I can’t talk about the house just yet. Sorry.” Source
I didn’t know that he had settled down. Last I checked he was gallivanting all over the place poking anything that moved. But hey, congrats on the new home and I hope she can find a way to build her credit after filing for bankruptcy.

Paula is Off the Sauce

Paula Abdul is pain free now. She was in an accident years ago and was on all types of meds and treatments but nothing worked. But she went to a new doc and everything is easy breezy.
She tells OK! magazine, "For the first time in 12 years, I am pain free. I had my 15th surgery to correct my back and neck problems last August and it worked. Finally! I had a new doctor who tried a new procedure and because of that I'm a new woman. I may have to have one more surgery in the spring but after all this, I can handle it."
She adds, "Not only am I pain free, but I am pain-medication free. I weaned myself off everything I'd been taking." Source
Good for her. Unfortunately she probably wont be as kooky as she’s been for so long, which was entertaining. But I’m all for sobriety.

Mike to Give His Kids to Janet?

Uncle Wacko may be giving his kids to his baby sis Janet to look after because his health is waning.
“Michael feels the end is near,” a close family friend told The Enquirer. “He’s terrified that if he dies, his children will end up with his aging parents or his brothers. He knows that Janet will give his kids a mother’s love and see that they grow up away from the showbiz spotlight.”
“Michael is in bad shape,” a pal told the Enquirer. “He has respiratory problems, heart palpitations, is losing weight rapidly and now he is worried that he may have contracted a killer flesh-eating disease. He has begged Janet to look after the kids.”
“He’s been visiting a Beverly Hills clinic receiving antibiotics through an intravenous drip,” disclosed the pal. “Michael has trouble walking and often has to use a wheelchair, and spends most of his days in bed, at the doctor’s office or in the bathroom.” Source

Word is that Jay-Z and Khloe Kardashian were jumpin’ off recently. They were supposedly drankin it up at M2 in NYC and Jay left a $2,000 tip on the way out. Khloe later denied the rumore. Source

Soul 4 Real Member on the Run

Brian Dalyrimple, of Soul For Real ‘fame’, is on the run from the cos. They’re looking for him in connection with an identity fraud case. He’s allegedly part of a ring involving over 260 victims and is believed to be on the run with his 10-month-old son. Source

Update 32: Chris Brown Arrested

Kenan Thompson of SNL recently commented on the Chrihanna debocal. He said that SNL would welcome Chris with open arms.
"It's not up to me, but I'm sure we would if he had another hit single," Thompson tells Usmagazine.com. "We don't care about scandal. We just care about what brings us ratings!"
"If we had them both on the show, that would be crazy."
He added that it’s an “unfortunate situation, “ and said, "I don't know the whole story, but I know how women can get when you get a text message from another female, so I'm just saying, you have to learn that you can't put your hands on a female." Us Magazine

Update 2: Pavilion Apartments Review: DON’T MOVE THERE!

I’m still trudging along in the takedown of the wretched Pavilion Apartment complex. Today I’d like to talk about the safety issues in and around the complex. Now, granted, it’s Newark, so I get that it’s not the safest place in the world. I also understand that the management has no control over what happens outside of the property. But and however, upon first moving in, I was told that there was a Newark police officer on duty in the parking lot. That’s not exactly true. Actually it’s not true at all. There is a small trailer that says Newark Police on the side of it. But and however there’s no one inside. Not a soul. And if you walk up to it, which I have, it’s empty…a dummy trailer.
I was also informed that there would be security on guard 24/7 who were responsible for making sure that all guests signed in and out and were accounted for. Residents have a slash card to give them access to the main lobby. All guests would have to go through the security guard in order to get in. At least that’s what is SUPPOSED to happen. Instead what happens is that the lobby door is often broken so that no slash card is needed and ANY Tom , Dick and JoJo can walk in off the street to possibly rape, rob, mame and kill me…or someone else in the building.
When the door is operating properly, people without slash cards simply knock on the door. It’s either opened by a security guard or someone else standing in the lobby but the stranger is NOT questioned and is allowed to hop on the elevator to possibly rape, rob, mame and kill me…or someone else in the building.
Also, guards are not always on active duty. They’ll walk in to the convenience store in the building (and away from the door) to grab a sandwich or hang out with the guys behind the counter. They’ll go outside to smoke cigarettes with their homies, propping the door open so any Tom, Dick and JoJo can come inside to possibly rape rob, mame and kill me…or someone else in the building.
See where I’m going with this? It’s bad enough to feel unsafe walking from the train…it’s a whole other ball of wax to feel unsafe in my own damn home.

Kelly Get's Some Work

Kelly Rowland has landed her first gig since firing manager/adoptive dad Michael Knowles.
Along with fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi, she’ll be hosting a new Bravo show called “Fashion Show.”
On the show pro designers will compete and be judged by pros in the fashion industry as well as the studio audience.
The winner will have their designs sold by a major retail store. Source

Diddy Takes Xzibit to a Gay Club

Rapper/actor Xzibit recently spoke to Jamie Foxx on Foxxhole radio and talked about a weird experience he had with Sean “Beady Eyes and Unfortunate Teeth” Combs. He showed up to a party with Superhead and Diddy had some choice words for him.
"Puffy calls me outside like 'Yo, you know about the girl you with?' I was like 'Yea n****. Everybody know,' " the rapper details. "He's like 'That's the devil man.' I was like 'What you mean she's the devil?' Then he's like 'She'll videotape you with fingers in the booty.' I was like 'What? What the f*** are you talking about?' "He invites him to a club and tells him he’ll tell X the whole story later. "I guess he got some prior incident with her that he don't want nobody to know about," he said."We get to this club, and we walk in the back way. It's the VIP lounge, ain't nobody in there. The club is going, it's jumping and I'm sitting there with [Superhead]," X says. "So then, [Diddy is] doing his business, we go down and get a drink. We sitting there bobbing to the music, and then [Superhead] point over to the corner. There's two dudes kissing. I'm like 'What the f*** is this?' ... Then she point in another direction, and there's another dude over there, butt ass naked dancing."X says he and Supahead leave immediately. "We take off. We leave the club directly. I didn't say peace to nobody. It was suspect," he says.He’s still giving Diddy the benefit of the doubt. "You can chalk it up to being in Miami or whatever," said X. "But I been in a gang of clubs, I ain't never mistakenly stepped into a club with that kind of activity. There it is."

Janet's Got a New Gig

Janet is getting more work. She just signed on for the sequel to Tyler Perry’s “Why Did I Get Married?”. She’ll be reprising her role as Patricia in the movie. Source
I cannot tell you how much I loved that movie. I mean, Janet’s performance was, eh. But the movie overall was excellente. I’ll be patiently awaiting its release.

Nelly Shopping New Variety Show

Rapper Nelly is shopping around a variety show to different networks. The show is tentatively called “Nelly’s Night in Vegas,” and will feature Nelly performing and interacting with different celebs.
"I was thinking about what was missing on TV, and when this idea came about, it made sense for me," Nelly said, according to Variety. "We do have talkshows, but no one's speaking from the pop culture perspective. Let's get a little more pop, a little more edge, a little bit younger, and not look like you're sitting in the principal's office. As a performer, that's the type of show you look forward to going on."Not only does he have a venue (Planet Hollywood) but he also has sponsors. Source
Well go on Nelly. I’m a marginal fan so I’m not opposed to checking it out once he finds a home.

Joel and Nicole Expecting Again

Joel Madden announced on the Good Charlotte website that he and girlfriend Nicole Richie are expecting their second child together. He wrote, "I am so happy to tell everyone that Harlow is going to be a big sister! God has truly blessed my family. Hope [you're] all feeling as good as i am right now." Source

The home of the late Isaac Hayes has been foreclosed on. It’ll be sold next month. It was default on a $1. million loan. Source

Suge Pleads Guilty to Battery

Marion “Suge” Knight has pled guilty to misdemeanor domestic batter. He did so as part of a deal with the LV courts to have two felony drug possession charges and on felony coercion charge dropped. The charges were dropped because his girlfriend, the victim of the battery, did not show up to court to testify.
As punishment he has to sever 48 hours of community service, pay $340, and attend domestic violence counseling. Source
Do you blame her for not showing up? Not only did he kick her tukus all over a las Vegas avenue but he’s a big scary monster man beast! I wouldn’t testify against him either.

Hayden and Mil Split Over Baby Scare?

Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia are officially dunzo but what caused the breakup. Well rumor has it that a pregnancy scare caused the two to split.
According to the Chicago Sun Times, "The test proved negative but apparently caused friction that sparked the breakup." Source
Really? That’s wack. They were destined to end if something like that caused them to call it quits. I mean it’s not like she was actually pregnant.

Michael Misick Resigns

Michael Misick, the Premier of Turks and Caicos Islands is resigning. He released a statement saying, “In recent months, there has been much discontent among some ministers and Progressive National Party elected members… It now appears to me that the divide within the party is too deep. I have decided that I will not seek the leadership of my party on 28th February 2009. This is a decision that I have not arrived at lightly. I would further like to announce that effective 31st March, I will resign as Premier of the Turks and Caicos Islands, allowing the new leader of the PNP to be sworn in as Premier. The period February 28th 2009 to March 31st 2009 will allow for an orderly transition.” Source

Man Denies Brandy's Million Dollar offer

Marouane Hdidou, the man whose wife was killed in the car accident involving singe Brandy, has rejected a $1.2 million settlement offer. Brandy offered to pay $200 of her own money, while her insurance company agreed to pay the remaining $1 million. When he rejected this amount his lawyers withdrew from the case. Source
I understand his wife’s life was priceless but it seems to me that he may have been getting greedy.

Kelly Osbourne Leaves Rehab

Kelly Osbourne has left rehab after completing a 30 day program. This is the third time Kelly’s been in rehab. The other two times were for painkillers. Still no word as to why she was in there this last time. Source
Don’t judge her. The statistics show that it takes most addicts several attempts at sobriety before being able to kick it for good. Good luck with your recovery Kelly!

Obamapolooza!!!!

Following the ‘stimulus monkey’ cartoon in the NY Post, several prominent blacks have been speaking out against it. Most recently musician John Legend sent an open letter to the editor reading:

Dear Editor:
I'm trying to understand what possible motivation you may have had for publishing that vile cartoon depicting the shooting of the chimpanzee that went crazy. I guess you thought it would be funny to suggest that whomever was responsible for writing the Economic Recovery legislation must have the intelligence and judgment of a deranged, violent chimpanzee, and should be shot to protect the larger community. Really?Did it occur to you that this suggestion would imply a connection between President Barack Obama and the deranged chimpanzee? Did it occur to you that our president has been receiving death threats since early in his candidacy? Did it occur to you that blacks have historically been compared to various apes as a way of racist insult and mockery? Did you intend to invoke these painful themes when you printed the cartoon?If that's not what you intended, then it was stupid and willfully ignorant of you not to connect these easily connectable dots. If it is what you intended, then you obviously wanted to be grossly provocative, racist and offensive to the sensibilities of most reasonable Americans. Either way, you should not have printed this cartoon, and the fact that you did is truly reprehensible. I can't imagine what possible justification you have for this. I've read your lame statement in response to the outrage you provoked. Shame on you for dodging the real issue and then using the letter as an opportunity to attack the Rev. Sharpton. This is not about Sharpton. It's about the cartoon being blatantly racist and offensive.I believe in freedom of speech, and you have every right to print what you want. But freedom of speech still comes with responsibilities and consequences. You are responsible for printing this cartoon, and I hope you experience some real consequences for it. I'm personally boycotting your paper and won't do any interviews with any of your reporters, and I encourage all of my colleagues in the entertainment business to do so as well. I implore your advertisers to seriously reconsider their business relationships with you as well.You should print an apology in your paper acknowledging that this cartoon was ignorant, offensive and racist and should not have been printed.I'm well aware of our country's history of racism and violence, but I truly believe we are better than this filth. As we attempt to rise above our difficult past and look toward a better future, we don't need the New York Post to resurrect the images of Jim Crow to deride the new administration and put black folks in our place. Please feel free to criticize and honestly evaluate our new president, but do so without the incendiary images and rhetoric.Sincerely,John Legend

The Post later issued a half assed apology of sorts but made sure to add in that their apology was in no way shape or form directed at Al Sharpton.
Well jeez, if they’re gonna go through all of that they coulda kept their sorry apology.
